Both of them are at my local Canadian TrU. Just order them online.

I'm actually tempted to go online to find Grimlock myself because I can't find him here in Ohio anywhere and the same goes with Blaster.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and we used to have good distribution. Not so great since FOC. I have never seen a Grimlock.

We should all be able to order what we want and pick it up at a local toy store without any additional charges.

Unfortunately that is not the way it is. So, think of it like this:
$22 bucks for the figure
$3 for tax
$10 for shipping (this is about the same for gas and time for unsuccessful trips, and time is money, think about how much you get paid per hour, if your free time is limited than your free time is worth money)
$12 for someone else to pick it up and get it to you. Would you pay $12 to get it three months earlier? Would you pay that to stop wasting your time looking for it? What if it never shows up in stores near you. For high demand figures you may have to pay more.

It isn't right but that is how it is. It isn't a rip off, it is fair. Kind of odd, though, I would buy another Transformer with the additional $24. Hasbro and or Toys R Us are giving my money away to an ebay seller and the post office when they could have had it and I could have had more Transformers. It isn't right but it is how it is.

I say just get it from Ebay or BBTS.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

i think your estimate is a little high - if you don't use priority shipping and use regular post its cheaper

Sure there are ways to save money and that would be great. If I estimated too high than good for the buyer, but I may not have. I think it is better to estimate high and feel like you saved money than estimate low. Sure you might get it cheaper but sometimes that is what it is going to be. Also some sellers only ship using priority.

Friendly advice dude. There's a figure you want right now but you cannot find it locally? JUST SHOP ONLINE! Especially if said figure is not rare and pretty common. Don't be a stingy scrooge. The money you will pay on shipping will be saved on time and gaz.

If you enter the toy collecting universe, better enter it with loose strings on your wallet. Because, many, MANY times, the thing you want will never be available locally.

So, check out Seibertron's sponsors, check out Ebay, check out Google for other sources. Shop, compare prices, and buy.

That's it.

i have been looking online but the prices are higher than is reasonable -i don't like paying more than i must. -there are limits to what i can buy so i must be frugal with my money

besides the main problem is that the 3 stores that carry it in this area are run by idiots who don't seem to order anything until their out of it -and getting a dozen sound waves and sound blasters means they don't run out very fast

tf source, blaster $40

Captured prey, grimlock and blaster $ 60 each, though they are the takara versions.

BBTS, Blaster preorder $30, grimlock $40.

those seem to be as cheap as you will be able to get them.

odd side note, well at least to me. while looking I noticed loose g1 blaster was usually going for less than the generations blaster....

id say go ahead and get them if you can. they will only go up in price.

There's a new case assortment listed at BBTS that has 1 each of Grimlock, Blaster, Soundwave, & Springer. Either order from them or wait till these new cases show up in stores near you

Soundblasters? You should get one. They're rare. I've only seen one...bought it...took out buzzaw and resold it on Ebay.

another site like BBTS, in my experience they are usually a little cheaper than BBTS.

I know they use either usps or fed ex. not sure on the price right this second.

Any ideas why this particular wave got such terrible distribution in the US? I saw Grimlock ONCE at retail and luckily had the good sense to buy him. Blaster, I had to order from HasbroToyShop, and was lucky to see it listed in one of the few times it was available to purchase.

^ I don't know if it was terrible distribution, but it definitely wasn't a long distribution. I don't know of any stores that actually got restocks of the wave, but most every store around here at least got a case of it. Some did not, but they had shelf-warming Soundwaves for a while so it was understandable. The ones that did restocked with the Springer/Blitzwing cases.

Even the wave of Soundwave/Soundblaster wasn't that overstocked. There were a lot more of them, yes, but no where near shelfwarming proportions, like movie Bumblebees figures, for instance.

Here in Ohio I've only seen Soundwave and that's it. They restocked the Wal-Mart here and they have a load of Springers now. I haven't seen Blitzwing yet. TRU doesn't even have them and neither did Target. In fact, Target doesn't even have any Voyagers when I checked and I thought for sure they would have. To me it sounds like terrible distribution. I highly doubt Scalpers are getting all of them.

its annoying as hell -i don't know why but they never showed up here -at least i didn't see them -a friend of mine did get a blaster but there was only one -and the problem is i didn't think it would be this big a proble as there were plenty of sound waves and soundblaster i though it would be just as plentiful-seriously though this is crazy -why is it so hard to find these 2 and it hasn't been that long there should still be some

I actually passed on Grimlock when I saw him in the store and had no idea he'd end up being rare. The gold on him looked dull so I figured I would go for the Takara version, something I rarely do. After seeing the Grimlock/Bruticus set at BotCon I might go for that set instead.
