Between the two recently released Soundwaves - FOC Voyager and WFC Deluxe- which do you recommend?

I don't own either, but the Deluxe would be more in-scale if that's your thing. The Voyager is a bit more "fun" I suppose....quite frankly I can't stand the sight of the mold.

I own FOC Soundwave, soundblaster, and Blaster, also own wfc soundwave.


foc look ok and the cassette gimmick is nice, but he is a big, and he has a piece of his back that sticks out when cassettes are loaded in them.

wfc looks better and fits better with other figures. no cassette gimmick though.


Personally, I like wfc better when grouped with a lot of other figures.

but next to blaster, and the cassettes, FOC does look good since there isn't a blaster in deluxe size. or smaller cassettes.

So in the end id advise looking at some reviews of both and decide who fits better with your collection or how you will display it.

or do like me and get them both

So do you think it is odd to have Soundwave bigger than Megs and Starscream?

I'd still get the WfC deluxe. Looks much better in displays.

Soundwave = Deluxe
Soundblaster = Voyager

I think what JelZe meant was that you can have both molds by getting the Soundblaster Voyager, and using the Deluxe for a more in-scale display.

I went with WFC Soundwave because of the size I much prefer to fit with my other Decepticons. That means, ME WANT WFC BLASTER REPAINT FROM SOUNDWAVE.

Keep in mind that the Deluxe Soundwave will run you $25-30, while I'm sure you can still get the Voyager at retail price, $20.

As far as retail is concerned, the FOC Voyagers are clearing out, making room for the T30s.

I have Music label Soundwave. I didn't think I needed any other Classics Soundwave until I saw the pic of FOC Soundwave with Hegemon. It looked so bad ass I had to get one.

FOC Soundwave, Hegemon, and Beast Hunters Shockwave look real nice together.

Only thing is FOC Soundwave needs a g1 looking gun.

I have FOC Soundblaster and WFC SW with megs and SS.

Lol, well my point stands that you'll being paying a LOT for the deluxe mold. (having to pay that much for a deluxe makes me not want to even bother with it) Whereas you can find the Voyager for MUCH less, and it looks great with a Voyager-scale Megatron.

I highly recommend the WFC Deluxe Soundwave. It's probably my favorite (non-MP) Soundwave figure out of ten or so I own, and is the one I use in both my Classics AND War For Cybertron display.

I'm not a big fan of the Legends data discs either, and just use Universe Ravage and United Rumble and Frenzy as Soundwave's minions. The scale is a bit off, but at least they have some degree of poseability.

The real question, I think, is who you intend to display your Soundwave with. If it's the Deluxe WFC Megatron or the Classics/United Voyager Megatron, the deluxe is absolutely the way to go. If you're using a bigger figure, like Hegemon, then you may want the voyager.

I got the WFC DLX mold when it was 1st released.

Then the Voyager mold came along. I already had a wave, so I opted to get a black Soundblaster instead. Does not stand out too much, since you can always convince yourself SW grew in height after his SB upgrade.
