Remember that sighting of Platinum Edition Ultra Magnus a week or so back? He's got some friends joining in on the shelves at US Toys "R" Us.

The original poster did not say which state he found the set in (at least, to my knowledge).

Any Seibertronians found these yet?

Saw this set at a local TRU the other day. 129 plus tax up here in Canadia. Too much. Easy pass.

I dunno... I understand that up in Canada, everything's a little higher in price, but $125 for a premium set like this, not to mention the combined prices of all six figures included is about $100 in USD anyway, seems fair to me.

I'm not stoked on either of the figures so it was an easy pass. The price was reasonable but there's too many flaws in both figures to merit dropping half a days wage on. They gotta be solid figs for me to do that. Waiting on MP Soundwave to see Canadian release. That..... i will spend the money on.

Yeah, I hate to agree, but I gotta. One of the tabs on the arms of my retail Brawl already snapped off (though I may actually be at fault with that one).

If anything, the only reason I'd probably go for this is the fact I've seen Grimlock once once this year, back in March or April, and he's on my "Kinda want, but only because I lack the Classics version of this specific character" list. Plus, I do like the way Bruticus's deco looks.

If Platinum Omega Supreme shows up at TRU, any thoughts on what the price might be?

Ok, let's break down the pricing:

5 Deluxes = 5 * $12.99 (online price) = $64.95
1 Voyager = $25.99

Total: 90.94
Comparison: $99.99

Yup, overpriced as usual. You're paying more because of the paint and exclusivity.

It's worth the trouble if you want the in-game deco for Bruticus and his components. I'd recommend it to someone who doesn't have the SDCC version, because this is a better price than you'll get on the aftermarket or importing the United version.

Grimlock, on the other hand, is more a matter of preference. I don't care for the chrome, myself, and prefer the regular retail release.
