Hi, I have a trade to make with a guy and we have to meet halfway but I don't have transport so I am taking the bus/skytrain (ugh) and was wondering whats the safest way to transport MP figures that don't have a box

So long as you're not too violent, simply carrying it in an empty packsack should be fine enough. I've never had any troubles doing so.
I would suggest keeping the accessories in a small zip-lock bag to prevent them rattling around.

I'd get a box - either cardboard or, preferably, plastic with a snap-on lid - and make a nest of crumpled up newspaper or shredded paper or bubble wrap, whatever you have handy. After you lay the figure in it's nest, throw some more newspaper/bubble wrap on top. Then snap that lid on or close the box and tape it shut.

Transform to alt mode, wrap it in a towel or t-shirt, put it in a not too big backpack. Guess that will do it.

I'd go with a box, if you'll be making heavy use of public transportation. No sense in taking chances.
