What do you guys think ? Should tney keep the smaller Mp's like lambor and prowl with no die cast or rubber wheels or should takara up things up with rubber wheels and die cast feet ?

Personally I'm a huge fan of rubber wheels and die cast and I love mp 01 so Inaturally I'm

4RW&DC ( for rubber wheels and die cast for short ) I think a great idea is that takara and hasbro both release these figures but due to takaras higher seller point they should have RW&DC and Hasbro should oack them to justify the higher price point because frankly mp soundwave was a disgrace charging us 400+ for basically tbe same figure with cassettes while the hasbro version is nearly the same and arguably better cassettes for 125 dollars.

So what do you guys think of this whole debate Yar Or Nay 4RW&DC [-(

Personally, I'd rather not have rubber tires. While they do look good, they're also hard to maintain.

With a can of matte clear spray, plastic wheels look almost as good.

Fairenough but they don't roll as good as ones with rubber wheels.

Mmmm, die cast good.

Even it were just for the feet to add some stability.

Rubber wheels are a horrorshow waiting to happen more free than not. I'd rather have plastic.

Die cast has pros and cons though, as it's great for stability and posing, but it can degrade or have paint chipping problems rather badly. I think DC is questionable at best, but I understand why it has fans.

Nope on both, diecast due to my recent thread and rubber tires since they just deteriorate over time and then the whole toy looks like utter shite.

I don't have any experience with how rubber and die cast age on figures, but they sure add to the feeling of premium quality. That said, I really don't want these voyager sized figures being any more expensive than they already are, especially at the rate they're releasing them.

That's not a problem for me. MP and Alternity figs are strictly display pieces as far as I'm concerned, and have no business rolling on a desktop or floor in my house--not that I'm judging anyone who does roll their TF's around a desk in alt mode, but I collect TF's for display only. Besides, I hardly ever keep them in alt mode.

Rubber looks good but eventually breaks down in time. The RID Optimus Prime for example. Curiously, the Takara Fire Convoy's wheels on my version didn't break down.

What he said. And on an MP, the only use for die-cast is on the feet or lower legs, to aid stability, anyway.
