I randomly found PE Grimlock/Bruticus and Ultra Magnus at TRU this week and had a question about the numbering.
The Grimlock set is 3/30 and UM is 4/30 but weren't there three PE figures released before these two (the two Year of the Snake figures and Predaking)?

#3 TRANSFORMERS PLATINUM EDITION ULTRA MAGNUS
#4 TRANSFORMERS PLATINUM EDITION GRIMLOCK VS. BRUTICUS

#6 TRANSFORMERS PRIME BEAST HUNTERS SHOCKWAVE’S LAB
#7 TRANSFORMERS PRIME BEAST HUNTERS OPTIMUS PRIME
#8 TRANSFORMERS MASTERPIECE ACID STORM Action
#9 TRANSFORMERS MASTERPIECE SOUNDWAVE
#10 TRANSFORMERS PLATINUM EDITION PREDAKING

The numbering is for a special series of 30 figures to celebrate the 30th Anniversary. Once again, here's the list:
- 1 Metroplex SDCC Edition
- 2 Shockwave's Labratory SDCC Edition
- 3 Platinum Edition Ultra Magnus
- 4 Platinum Edition Grimlock vs. Decepticon Bruticus
- 5 Metroplex ACGCon Edition (with gold-colored figurines)
- 6 Shockwave's Labratory Asia Edition
- 7 Beast Hunter Optimus Prime CybCon Edtion
- 8 MP-1 Masterpiece Acid Storm
- 9 MP-2 Masterpiece Soundwave
- 10 Platinum Edition Predaking
- 11 Construct-Bots Predaking

Oh, so being a PE figure and being one of the 30 are two different things?
Thanks.
I'll probably just return the Grimlock set then since I'm not going to shell out hundreds of bucks for convention exclusives to complete all 30 in the set.

Exactly. I know, doesn't really make sense

Not just that, some items are repeated (Shockwave's Lab and Metroplex) depending on convention. Variant releases should not warrant a completely new number!

Its a little cheap to use the same set more than once and give it a different number each time.
Was it too much to hope for 30 unique collectible figures?

#30 has been revealed to be Airblade. Was that her name? The samurai jet fembot create a character poll winner one.
I can't find pictures anywhere, is the Cybcon BH Prime any different from the US release?

We've only seen box pictures of that release, none of the actual toy as the box had no window.

It's easy to get to 30 if you count versions from different regions. Lame!
