Why is there no Masterpiece Galvatron or 3rd party G1 inspired toy?

A Masterpiece Galvatron in the USA has been a missed opportunity to satisfy everyone since MP-01 Prime. Hasbro, we know that you were too afraid to sell MP Megs in the US because of the controversy about it's likeness to a gun, fine, but why didn't you give us a perfectly satisfactory substitute with Galvatron? No one can mistake Galvatron for anything but a toy. We have never been given a proper G1 Galvatron toy, ever. The reproduction purple repaint is okay but still, a MP figure should have been done in the mid 2000's when TF was at it's hottest.

Yes, the Energon Galvatron wasn't bad, but still there was money to be made as a huge market for a Decepticon Masterpiece leader existed in the USA and Canada. How did you fail to recognize this Hasbro? It's still not too late now that you are in your second generation of MP toys.

The Legends toy didn't count either as it was a bland, boring, and small toy that was a disappointment.

TF4 and the last Prime series event is coming up soon, both of which are rumored to have Galvatron. This is the time to give all transformer fans, young and old alike, something truly special and that isn't just another Optimus Prime or Bumblebee toy.

:CON:

Simple. They're focusing on the characters popular in JAPAN, not the US, since it's Takara, not Hasbro, that creates them.

There was/were plans to make a 3rd party Galvatron. Check it in the 3rd party section.

As for an MP version, if only they, Tomy could tweak the crown of old psycho to the appearance of the anime/86 movie or a bit of a crown like design similar to Coronation Starscream while retaining the size of the G1 figure (no electronics please! to keep the cost down) and improve on the arms and articulation, then that would be reality. At least follow the steps on MP Grimlock, there were just minor tweaks from the original design.

I found some images online at another TF news site of a brand new as of 2013 prototype Not-Galvatron; http://tformers.com/transformers-unique ... /news.html. I posted this news find in another similar MP posting about Megs & Galvy. I'm not sure how accurate the story is.

Seriously, have a search through the Unofficial Transformers 3rd Party and Knock Off toys thread and you will find a thread on that very same figure! ;)

LOL! I actually did try to look up this story in the search but couldn't find it, of course there were way to many links offered for "Dark Messiah", "3rd party Galvatron", "not-galvatron", & finally G1 Galvatron homage. The search results were really a mess otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. Or at least not as I did.
