Does anyone know what's up with the TRU Soundwave? He's no longer on the website and I never got an email saying anything about a status change. Am I going to have to pay an arm and leg on eBay??

Try this. No cassettes, except for Laserbeak.

I've got a mint sealed case of two of them if you are interested. Planned on keeping them for myself but with a new baby my wife is screaming at me to stop hoarding so many "toys."

HI, why is AmiAmi so cheap?

second, with the nuclear disasters, is it actually safe to buy toys coming from japan?

Straight from Japan? You also have to compute the shipping too. Oh, as in is it safe? Well I'm starting to glow like the allspark just now

Seriously though, where do you think a lot of our goods come from? Asia is near ground zero. The nuclear cloud has more or less spread all the way to China and then some.

Toys coming from Japan are probably no more radioactive than your average banana.

Pardon my ignorance was just a question and there are no stupid questions I believe.

I was looking to buy some masterpieces form Takara, but even the preorders are sold out quick on AmiAmi. What is your experience with AmiAmi and takara toys will takara provide with more stock after the initial preorders are sold out or do I have to wait another year. I bet there are greedy people out there who buy the maximum allowed toy perhousehold from AmiAmi. Why do you want 2 mp-18 bluestreaks?

Well, I personally am fine with only one of a figure, but I know many collectors have a genuine desire to own two of a toy. Some like to have one to play with and one to keep mint in box. Some like to display one in robot mode and one in vehicle mode. So there are legitimate reasons for more affluent and less space limited collectors to purchase two of a toy.

Greedy bastards is what they are.

Why? Assuming, that is, they are buying them for their own personal use? If they are buying two (or more) for scalping purposes, I'm right there with you. But if they want a few multiples for personal use, and they have the money and space for it, why does that make them "greedy bastards"?

Even the people who have excessive multiples of some of the "army builder" figures such as Scourge or Wreck-Gar, I wouldn't call "greedy bastards," just a bit excessively silly in their collecting. I'm fine with a trio of Scourges, one as the man himself plus two Sweeps. Some people have amounts of them I'd call just plain stupid, but as long as they are building their own collection and not reselling them for profit I wouldn't call them bastards.

Concerning amiami, its more luck of the draw when it comes to Masterpieces. There are times, just after the release, there are a few available units (in the case, 2nd release Soundwave and for a while MP Prowl). So you have to always browse the site to pre order your stuff. This was also the case with Tomy Springer and Blitzwing, I managed to reserve early before they sold out.

Also, it depends on how "hot" the item is. In the case of POP Megahouse Shirahoshi, it didn't even reach the 60 second limit that she sold out (despite the 1 per customer quota).

At time, they offer back order deals but as I previously mentioned in another post, they canceled my Gekisuomaru back order because they could not fulfill it.

AS for your question on who would like to buy 2 of a single figure? Well collectors with too much disposable incomes or scalpers.

I was just on Amazon and they've got some third-party sellers that are selling MP SW for about $190 with free shipping. It might be a better option than importing from Japan or bidding on eBay.
