Is Protoform Prime's joint at the waist a ball joint? I.e can you pull it out of its socket without damaging the toy?

The joint is very good and feels like a 6 inch action figure

I forgot to tell you as well, you can take the leg out of the joint without braking the toy :)

Well I want to pull out the waist and apply some nail polish to make it less loose (damn Hasbro's loose joints) but it is in fact composed of three parts: the chest, the abdomen (which is not a ball joint; it rotates to facilitate the transformation) and the actual groin/waist, which is the ball joint I'm asking about. This joint is really hard to pull out; at the same time I don't want to break the part that connects Prime's abs with his chest.

Should I pull hard? :P

No get out a small screw driver and remove the screw in the back. There are two under the wings and one where the anus would be and four in the shoulders. After removing all of those there shouldn't be anything left holding the figure together.

I never unscrew stuff unless the screw comes out or is too loose. I am afraid of stuffing up the toy... I leave stuff the way it is.

Fair enough. I'll leave it as it is.
