I'm currently closing a deal on a MIB G1 Road Fire. And I was wondering, what is rarest TF on your shelves?

My (current) top 3:

1 - MIB pre-TF Browning (blue)
2 - MIB Masterforce Lander
3 - MIB Diablock Sunstreaker

Now I know these are not automatically considered grails, but I'm talking about obscurity here. Not desireability.

1. G1 Metalhawk
2. G1 original Fortmax
3. pre rub loose Wheeljack
4. G1 original white Astrotrain
5. G1 Japan Shockwave
6. 4 diaclone train robos aka Raiden (no bullet trains though)

Are KissPlayers Sparkabots considered rare? Got those too. (I admit I like the story line)and the other KissPlayers cassetrons.

Are prototypes included, or do they need to be mass release?

In no particular order:

1) G1 Sky Garry
2) Gentei Rijie Electro Disruptor version
3) Prime Shining Optimus Prime

I don't really do rare O, one honorable mention: GaoGaiGar Big Volfogg, Japanese version.

Hmm. Only three? I'll cheat a bit and go with G1 Big Powered, Micron Legend DVD Linkage Micron Set, and Dark of the Moon Soundblaster. If he doesn't count then throw in G1 Grandus.

Non transformers would be Igear G2 MP Ramjet

1. FOC Starscream clear and funky coloured test shots
2. Gen/Spotlight Orion Pax clear test shot
3. Gen/Spotlight BumbleBee funky coloured test shot

As far as I'm aware only 25 prototypes exist.

Not including various limited edition 3rd party figs/kits and customs

Botcon '05 Ratchet
Botcon '06 Megatron
OTFCC Sentinel Maximus
Beast Wars Convobat and Megaligator (Red Bat Optimus and Purple Gator Megatron)
Galaxy Force Noisemaze and Chromia DVD repaints.

I think the rarest TFs I have are Beast Hunters Rippersnapper, (red) Blight, and (black) Bumblebee...

I have never seen any of these in a store. At least Rippersnapper has been easily found online. If your local Targets have anymore of that Bumblebee/Blight set, I'll happily pay you a finder's fee and shipping

I got Rippersnapper off HTS, and I've only ever seen the BB/Blight set once, so I can't help anyone with that unfortunately.

1. Green Beast Wars Ramulus (MISP, AFA graded)
2. I'm gonna cheat and throw in all of the Botcon 97 and 98 exclusives (including those from Botcon Japan) as one item since each figure was produced in total of 600 figures or less
3. I'm gonna cheat again since I've no idea how many of each were produced, but I've got a test shot Universe Razorclaw, test shot Beast Wars Tigerhawk and test shot Universe Reptilion

As far as hard to find figures go, I've got some tough to find Beast Wars stuff such as Black Big Convoy, Lucky Draw Lio Convoy (the black version with the blue claws), Japanese Megaligator and Convobat, BWII Diver with his volcano playset, BWII Armordillo and Snapper with the volcano playset, BW Neo Elephaorpha and I've got a one of a kind custom Beast Wars Transmetal II/Transtech Megatron made from an RID Megatron (a figure that 3H had planned to do in 2005 before they lost their contract with Botcon to Funpub). I've also got every Botcon exclusive to date which was a repaint of a Beast Wars figure.

Retail henkei Starscream is rare? Wow! Count me in owning one too. Also noticed that henkei Convoy fetches quite a sum too just like Starscream(after checking online)

Got Skygarry too. Only wish lunchbox Grandus would one day be re-issued.

And there we have our problem. I've got a MIB Sky Gary as well. He's a pretty toy, but not rare. Expensive, too... I don´t really know why.

Maybe the owners are waiting to complete the Battlestars? Hence the price? Btw, I noticed that the Re-issue of Sixliner, another Battlestars member doesn't fetch so much at the secondary market. I wonder why (though pricing isn't a big issue since I have no interest in selling him)?

Rarer than the exclusive TC and SW repaints, plus he's super hard to find these days, his price shot up by an incredible amount back when his KO was released.

Ah, Sky Garry. He was rare, until 2009, when there was a massive case find of him. Like many, I picked up mine at Botcon 2009 for barely a bill. This was only a couple years removed from the Star Convoy reissue, and it seems like once a lot of folks had both, Grandus doubled in value in 6 months as many tried to complete the set.

Sky Garry has gone up some recently since it's been a couple years since they were readily available. Another reason he hasn't gone up as much has to be the incredibly cheap and easy to find Death Garry Gun from Brave being a good substitute for many collectors.
