Future for Titan Class line?

Based on TF lore, there's like Trypticon who could get the"titan" treatment. Doubt Fortmax will be re made (or maybe?) And a fools dream (perhaps) for a Scorponok (wish it wasn't so).

So all this is speculation on my part unless hard facts/data proves otherwise. So how did TF Generations Metroplex sell? Disappointing or encouraging? Tried google but got nowhere. So among seibertron's staff who most possibly have some hard facts (sales figures)whats's the verdict?

And,i remember the reason Brave Max could not be released was the drop test so is Metroplex less deadly to kids this time?

Well, back in 2003 Unicron ensured the survival of the Supreme Class, though it wasn't for the lack of trying (with Cheetor and Air Attack Primal). If anything, we could see a new Titan Class-size toy regardless of sales by means of "Try Again" >:oP

That was brought up a few months actually, the OP went all out with official forms describing different tests. From what I can remember, his size and weight actually made Metroplex eligible for a different type of Toy Safety Test, possibly omitting the dreaded Drop Test. Another theory I've heard is that he's not classified as a standalone figure per se, but more like an interactive play set which follows a different set of rules. Either way, he's been released, why jinx it?

Sales figures are tough to get. Hasbro sells to distributors/retailers and not directly to us, and most retailers aren't going to put item level sales figures anywhere externally. Given that I've yet to see one at retail around here (they seem to show up and then immediately sell out), I'd say he's moving at a decent clip, but that's only measuring 3 TRU stores in an area that gets them in about 3 or 4 at a time, so for all I know there could have just been 12 sold in the greater Raleigh/Durham metro area total.

I'd love a Trypticon, and I was really hoping we'd see something in that now infamous list upcoming list. I'm thinking if it continues, we'll hear something at Botcon. Toy Fair seems too early.

Just being realistic about sales figures being one of the factors for a figs future release.

As for the dreaded drop test, so they (Hasbro) managed to get around it via technicality? Finally! Lawyers are actually good for something now and then.

I honestly don't see them producing a Trypticon anytime soon. At least not one that scales with Metroplex. Metroplex is tall but somewhat lanky. To make something with Trypticon's bodytype in that height would require a lot more plastic and a larger budget.

Scorpinok and Fort Max are a closer possibility although HasTak might use the smaller IDW iterations for them.

Most likely, they'll just put out a Metrotitan repaint or retool.

In regards to sales stats on Metroplex. I have none. But what i do know is that there were 25 of em at a Costco a week ago. I went today and all were gone. If that says anything.
