Amazon has also updated with some new official high res images of Hasbro's upcoming Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Deluxes Windrazor, Twinstrike, Smokescreen, and Bumblebee. These figures will be in the new line of simplified Deluxes designed with speedier transformations in mind. Check out the images including packaging shots below.

Autobots beware, because this Windrazor figure is a beastly menace! He can pound his enemies into scrap with his spiky Dragontooth Mace. But when he converts to dragon mode, he won't need weapons to win! Keep converting him back and forth so he can handle whatever his enemies dish out! Transformers and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro.

Autobots beware, because this Twinstrike figure is a double dose of beast! He can pound his enemies into scrap with his enormous Piston Hammer. But when he converts to dragon mode, he won't need weapons to win! Keep converting him back and forth so he can handle whatever his enemies dish out! Transformers and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro.

Image

Decepticons beware, because this Smokescreen figure is a two-fisted Autobot menace! He's got 2 battle axes for hand-to-hand combat, and he can convert to racer mode fast to chase down any Decepticon who tries to escape. Keep converting him back and forth so he can handle whatever his enemies dish out! Transformers and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro.

Predacons beware, because this Bumblebee figure has the technology and weapons to take any of them out! He'll take his Predacon enemies apart with his Dragonshredder sword in robot mode. If they're lucky enough to get away, he'll convert to combat racer mode to chase them down! Keep converting him back and forth so he can handle whatever his enemies dish out! Transformers and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro.

In spite of how simple they are and their probable inability to combine, I might still pick up those Twinstrike and Windrazor figures.

And with one somewhat neutral/borderline-positive post made, enter the storm of negative posts in 3... 2... 1...

:P ;)

I just noticed that Windrazor's shoulders are misassembled in these pics. Whoops.

I remember reading about these simplified figures a while ago and felt disgusted then. Now seeing this, I knew my instincts were right. This is utter crap. Simplified deluxe?! wtf does that mean anyways? Transformers for retards? These figures look like cyberverse toys at deluxe price. I guess normal deluxes are going to be rebrand with a new title and become 5 more dollars.

Reminds me of back when Beast Wars Mega class went up five dollars in price and were rebrand voyager class. This frightens me to further escalation of transformer costs. :BANG_HEAD:

These make my head hurt. I feel like these are Transformers products from some alternate reality. We've been had! Here are KO upscaled versions (albeit a higher quality product evidenced by pins and such not found in the Cyberverse scale) of Cyberverse figures as some kind of inane way of saying "Hey fans, thanks for supporting the Cyberverse/Legends line for the past 8 years." I think these are a great way of getting inexpensive large Transformers into discount chains such as Family Dollar, Big Lots, Dollar Tree, etc ... kind of along the same lines as the simplified Marvel Universe 3.75" figures that you see that have limited articulation, or even the cheaper Marvel Universe figures that you see at traditional retail such as the $5 price point Avengers Assemble figures. If these are priced at $10 or less and don't replace the main line figures, then I'm OK with this. If these cheaper products are the main line figures and are the same price point as the higher quality and more poseable deluxes we currently have, than I feel like we've been cheated by supporting the Cyberverse/Legends Class line for the past 8 years.

This didn't happen with Beast Wars. The $15 Mega Class stayed through Robots In Disguise in 2001/2002. It was phased out with Armada where Deluxe Class became known as Super-Cons and the Ultra Class became known as Max-Cons. In Energon, they were referred to as Combat Class and Mega Class respectively. And for Cybertron's launch in 2005, they were referred to as the standard Deluxe Class and Voyager Class respectively. The Ultra Class and Voyager Class have stayed within the $20 to $25 price range for the past 17 or 18 years, which is pretty impressive for retail products to stay so consistent in price. The exception, of course, being the price Toys R Us charges for their Voyager Class figures which peaked at almost $30 a figure with the Transformers Prime toyline.

This is beyond retarded. I don't see why they couldn't just AT LEAST, BARE MINIMUM leave the pegs on so it can still combine. Effing retarded. And ya, coz the thing I wanted most was LESS poseability in my transformers. These upsized legions can bite my @$$.

Yeah, these are pretty silly.

But I'm sure the kids will like them!

You know... because they're the target audience, and they worry about catering to them first.

I could see these being like... for kids who "graduate" from Rescue Bots but may not be ready for standard, non-simplified figures.

On that note, I want to ask all of you to cool it with the inappropriate usage of the word "retard" and "retarded". The usage of the word above is offensive and degrading term to many people and should not be used on our forums in that manner.

If there is any confusion about how the word retard is viewed on this site, please refer to other articles on the web regarding the use of this word.

Please be considerate of other members by refraining from using that word here. Thank you for your cooperation.

these are great for parents who want to give their kids Transformers but not hassle with the complexity of the regular line or small parts that come off, kids won't care as long as they are Transformers.

Whoa, Windrazor and Twinstrike's colors aren't quite what I thought they'd be. I know the touched up promotional photos aren't accurate to the real thing, but since they're upscales of existing toys I thought they'd be roughly the same as the Legions. Here, it looks like they literally used the same 3 plastic colors for both of them; it's weird.

Besides the colors, I wish those two got the same type of treatment Predaking did, where every part was resculpted or even completely reworked. The Terrorcons are pretty intricate for Legions, so much so that they almost feel like shrunken Scouts! Not Deluxe grade, but the best candidates for upscaling I can think of. And best of all they would've looked awesome with the likes of Ripclaw and Laserback and the other Predacons. But alas! It's painfully obvious they're oversized Legions.

To be perfectly frank, there is one positive thing about these toys that cannot be overlooked or denied: Those sweet-looking melee weapons! 8)

Also, Optimus and Predaking are listed as well:

I apologize for my use of that word, I was also unaware it had already been used in the thread. However, calling such massive attention to it surely doesn't do any good to those who are offended, and trying to ignore/forget it. PM next time and I can simply edit my post.

I can't tell how big these are, and bumblebee sure is ugly, but I'm excited for the line. You know, I had to find my kids Cybertron figures from way back because they were the last transformers that were possible for kids 10 and under to transform. I'm so sick of knock-out's bumpers popping off, smokescreen's legs flying off and belly not latching, these non-shelf-worthy toys will be a-ok!

Not digging either of the Autobots' weapons, but the morning star and drill-hammer are pretty amazing. Hope they get reused for other figures.

Using Lazerback as a reference, these are just a little bit bigger and bulkier than that figure is.

They're definitely larger than the average Deluxes have been in recent years. ;)

the weapons they come with are awesome but not enough to warrant buying them. Sinnertwin is the only one im slightly interested, mainly just for repaint purposes. I plan on repainting the legion one into doublecross but i might hold out until the "deluxe" version comes out.

Optimus is listed as in stock with the right pictures and details up. Aw heck I'm going for it, I just hope this doesn't end up like Beast Hunters Commander Class Ultra Magnus again.

These look terrible. At the very least, they could've added articulation to them while keeping the simplified transformation. I have no problem with them dumbing down the transformation to a certain point, but leaving them as is like giant bricks? No. No thank you.

Thank you for addressing your post, we do appreciate it when the members work with us. Makes it easier on everyone. On the other part of your post, it's not calling massive attention to the issue. It's the board/site owner telling the public that we do not condone the use of such a word or the derogatory meaning behind it. He has that right, because the words of a few should not speak for the entire site.

MR Optimus Prime wrote:Yes, these do look ******. I will have NO ONE tell me not to use that word in regaurds to a toy.

Uh, yes you will. When the board owner (or any member of staff, for that matter) tell you (not asking) that you can't say something and that it violates the rules, you are to follow those rules. There's no need to continue causing trouble "just because".

And your follow up post where you edited to remove the censoring has been removed and had better not return, otherwise further action will be taken. We don't mind people posting their opinions, but we do ask that they respect their fellow members and not use offensive terminology, even if it is aimed at a toy.

Do not post that again.
