Shockwave also came back 3/4 times. Galvatron 2 times. Optimus was in peices when Shockwave 1st overthrew Megatron in Marvel. It has happened in the Beast continuity even more often.
What does that have to do with him staying behind on Cybertron?

Evidence shows that they didn't, since there is no other Trypticon on Earth in the present day aside from the Nemesis.
And, when the G1 cartoon Cons built Trypticon, they were in the services of the Quintessons, so they had the Quints' resources to build him.

Look at what the Soviets did to there factories in WW2, as well as countless other efforts in just the 20th. They have been moving big things in pieces for centuries.
Didn't say that they "couldn't", just that there's little reason for them to do so.
And, like Trypticon, evidence shows that they don't bring him to Earth since there's no sign of him anywhere on Earth, especially with the Autobots being kept secret from humanity by the U.S. gove.rnment, a cover that Metroplex's presence would have easily blown had he been there.

Look at Zato-Ichi, the "Blind Swordsman", he has been called too unbelievable. However, there are examples of people like Ichi even today, on YouTube no less, in history, even warriors, and more. Bruce Lee took the idea so seriously that he tried to make a TV show based on Ichi's model.
Thing is, the timeline of this continuity was laid out a long time ago, and from the looks of all that we've seen thus far, Trypticon evidently remains stuck in Nemesis mode, no new Trypticon is built, and Metroplex remains where he is on Cybertron.
