Do you mean: "...going to get [an] [ideal] IDW Galvatron..."?

Well, I think it'd sell well no matter what scale chosen. I would buy it as soon as I found it at my local store or just order it ahead of time.

This character was so mishandled by season 3 of the original that Hasbro and Takara don't believe there is any demand for him. New Galvatron's have just been Megatron toy recolors, and the Energon Megatron should have just been Galvatron - no recolor. This shows how little these toy companies believe in him. Even the Japanese version was not as cool as Megatron. Sad really as the IDW Galvatron is based on the good executions, G1 Movie, Armada Finale in DW with G1 Galvatron VS. Amrada Megatron, and the UK Marvel version (US was cool but UK best).

Bayformers :michaelbay: 4 is coming. I hope to treat it like the 1st movie happened, ignore 2 and 3, then go in to 4 and love it, one reason would be for the rumored Galvatron. :CON:

...Then again, new Galvatron may just be a new Grimlock recolor...

...or have his crown replaced with a top hat...(remember Tux?)

...or Turbo Teen...

...or a nurf shooter and/or water pistol...(que Vader quote from Star Wars '77 to Obi-Wan) http://youtu.be/gCNeJmLAsBo?t=23s

I'd love a good Galvatron. Alas nothing has been able to give him the justice he deserves. The closest I have to a Classics Galvatron is Superlink Galvatron G (Energon voyager-sized Megs in Galvatron colours). I'd replace him in a heartbeat with a good Galvatron.

And no, that 3rd Party Galvatron has too many design flaws for me to consider.

IDW, Marvel (UK or US) or Sunbow Galvatron in toy form would be very welcome. The Classics one from Hasbro is still better than any official Classics Sludge, Swoop, Slugslinger, Fusion or Stampede that we've recieved, but only just better than those imaginary things.

A new Galvy based more or less on the G1 design and in modern Voyager (maybe a tad bigger) scale would be great. An Ultra Magnus to go with him (and heck, whilst you're at it, a Rodimus Prime) would be pretty badass too.

I'd prefer and IDW Galvy design, as I could care less for the character outside of the fact that he has those giant shoulders.

Try looking around for the Studio Ox version of Galvatron...........pretty bad@ss!

Btw Tronus, you didn't like "Webworld"? It was imho a great portrayal of his madness. Imagine him doing therapy reconstruction ending up creating a lethal weapon from a couple of non weaponized fabricating material? Now that's psycho...........a lovable one at that (and the art was good too)

I actually loved "Webworld", and I do believe that episode inspired the fan fiction; "Galvatron & Cyclonus's Bogus Adventure's" and all the 30-50 chapters it had. Seriously, it was so much fun. I can't find the complete set, just pieces. Users "Walkertron" or "Walkatron" had something to do with it along with "Optimoose".

Modern G1 galvatron would look cool as all g1 robot modes looked well a bit "meh" I guess that is just a post G1 transformers fans point of veiw. With the toy being G1 it would be nice if he was a gun and not a tank or dragon well he was only really a tank BW, G1 and RID aside.

He was a self-propelled gun, actually. A mobile artillery blaster that just barely could move itself.

he was a gun with legs, that had tank treads on them. If the bot mode was okay I'd probably settle for a "cybertronian" tank mode.

He was a taco on a stick and that's the end of it :P!

Anyway, I think the reason we haven't seen Galvatron much in cartoons or the Bayverse is because they're focusing on the "original" a lot more and the concept of a guy not only changing form but also changing names might be a bit weird these days (Orion Pax aside I guess, since he's always already Optimus Prime when we see him and just has flashbacks to/references to his "Orion Pax" history).

I could see them doing him as a separate character the way the comics (I think?) did so maybe there's still hope there, but only if he doesn't steal the show from Megatron only because I doubt the writers/producers et al would go for it.

maybe he should only get a name-change to Galvatron when he gets married?

Of course for the Bayverse films they could easily got the IDW route and just have Galvatron be a brand new character not related to Megatron.

At this point, knowing Michael Bay, we all know that he will want a proper opposite to the Dinobots for the Decepticon Leader...

SO why not...

...Ratbat - true Decepticon :CON: Bureaucrat-eror of "Haunting your dreams"!
