on any other figure we have had in the masterpiece series we would have at the very least seen a blurry prototype pic by now, so whats the hold up?

Maybe Takara's gotten better at securing leaks? Maybe they want to wait until they've given their recently released 3 Autobot brothers a chance to sell lots before the big reveals of the new MPs or something.

Well, we didn't see protos for any of the MPs since MP 09 till Takara revealed them themselves at conventions.

You are right. They seem to like showing the colored pictures off at Conventions. They like to put the prototype pictures in the annual Transformers magazines that get published (after the figure comes out).

I pretty positive we'll see something during the first quarter of 2014.

Takara themselves have not announced any of these figures. So once they do we'll likely see photos.

Actually Powered Convoy is correct. The only thing that Takara said was that the license for MP-20 was hard for them to attain. Preorders at BBTS etc. does not an announcement make. Actually I have heard rumblings (and take this with a grain of salt as I do not know what the validity is) that both wheeljack and Ultra Magnus both have not had any real development outside of internal discussions within Takara. Take that as you will. My guess is that MP-20 will turn out to actually be Bumblebee as previously thought.
