Alright! 2 birds one stone!

I'm not sure I'd jump to that conclusion as we don't really know the quality of these stickers.

Quality is topnotch.........factory produced level. I have this:

They are kind of a pain to remove. A film of sorts covers the decal which you have to pull off first then carefully peel off from the mounted card stock. Use tweezers if need to.

The version 2 of the decal sheet have additional decals for this torso and hip grooves. Plus decals ala pseudo mirrors on his side mirrors, G1 style decal for his shoulders and a 539 Britax decal for his roof. (There are some minute decals coming from Reprolabels (got that free btw)

A surprise return from the Takara Tomy stables, and their Masterpiece line: fellow Seibertronian Cyberpath has spotted an eHobby listing for the reissue of MP-20 Wheeljack figure! Due some time in the new year, we expect, it comes with all the accessories as the first, and is currently listed with a 20% discount price. Check it out here, and browse our galleries to remember how good this bot is.

pffft @ the discount hehe. Glad for anyone who missed out on this guy cos he's truly awesome. Probably one of the most fun masterpieces as the transformation is relatively simple so he actually has good play value.

Now if only they'd re release mp sound wave with all his cassettes :D

Once I get Fort Max and MP Shockwave (maybe Hot Rod? Haven't decided yet) out of the way, maybe I'll put Wheeljack into consideration. Not that I don't want him; he's just not that far up the checklist.

Such as an even more Floro Dery style stripped down deco? Maybe a TT Mall exclusive like Diaclone Bluestreak in the future.

*sigh* I feel though that I can get a Masterpiece with that same amount of money or even less. I guess with a deal like that it wouldn't be too bad, but yeah. I guess it's just one of those "value is perceived in the eye of the beholder" things.

It's precisely that. For the same price, you can have these 3 deluxes or MP Hotrodimus shipped from HLJ http://hlj.com/product/TKT84468/Act

Between the two what gives you more bang for your buck? I dont know.

PS: The answer is MP Wheeljack :-$

Sure this is but one of the many opinions that give praise to the mold but iirc, some people (not wj88) previously were saying that WJ wasn't MP enough. How a few months does change ones opinions.

I thought I'd necromance this old thread as it seemed the best place to mention this.

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transform ... 30601.html

A poster on TFW2005 said that when they purchased a KO Wheeljack Masterpiece recently (they didn't say from whom) that it came with Rubber tires (just like Tracks and Road Rage's KO also do).

I thought I'd mention it as it might be of interest to people looking for Rubber tires or looking to avoid them.

I wonder if the lambor moulds or the Zed-cars will be the next to get a possible rubber tires treatment ?

Strange that they'd decide to make a modification like that to the toys and yet not think to do something like a unique character like Slicer or Deepcover.

Anyway I hope this news was useful and if anyone happens to get a rubber tire one too please provide some video evidence or such or any details on packaging changes that might tell a buyer which version they are getting !

--------

[P.s.]

If anyone has any information on the difference or benefits of the add on labels i'd be interested in more information on that as I see the Ocean ones on ebay going cheap sometimes and wonder if they are worth it.

Is it true some of the decals are designed for Exhaust and Generations Wheeljack too ?

I am very impressed by how Prowl looks stickered up I'd like to do that but again what is the relative merits of the available stickers ocean or reprolabels.

Last question - do you have to buy two MP jackies to get two launchers ?

----

[P.P.s]

I'd really like to see what a fully stickered MP Jackie looks like in Robot mode too - I was a little worried he might look cluttered.

Is this the most you can bend his shoulder cannon? On the figure it doesn't seem like a lot.

Had a look inside, you can clearly see that there was supposed to be a pin there, which was nixed for the final product in favour of two tabs one on each side that allow less range of movement.

Takara Tomy Masterpiece MP-20+ Cartoon-Accurate Wheeljack Revealed at #ワンフェス #wf2018s

PostPosted: Sat Jul 28, 2018 7:26 pm
by Qwan
Following the trend of cartoon-accurate MP-XX+ releases of Masterpiece figures, we also have the reveal of MP-20+ Wheeljack coming out of Wonder Festival in Japan, coming to us via @Chohenken on Twitter!

As expected, it sports a more cartoon-accurate (and hence much more conservative) deco compared to the old MP-20, featuring a few splashes of red and green as opposed to the larger and more intricate designs on his older self. It seems that both silver and smokey clear have been subbed out in favor of a light gray for his missile launcher, face and "wings" as well. The panels on his hands also sport a far different deco of black with orange tail-lights, rather than white with red.

Finally and perhaps most noticeably, he carries a large, bulbous object with a spike on the top. This is obviously some invention of his or another from the Generation 1 cartoon, though it's not immediately apparent which one. If you recognize it, share it with your fellow board members in the Energon Pub Forums! Share any other thoughts you may have about this new deco there, as well. And as always, stay tuned to Seibertron.com for more Transformers news, including more from WonFes (like Masterpiece Hound, check it out)!!
