Question about Airachnid toy

I recently received a TF Prime Airachnid figure/helicopter as an early Christmas present. I actually knew I was getting it, since I picked it out along with Human Alliance Autobot Whirl. For some reason I just wanted a couple of non-car figures. So these Helicopters seemed appealing at first. Don't get me wrong, I like both these figures.
I had a problem with Airachnid, getting her to stand is not all that easy. Probably due to the small feet and slightly heavier parts on the back. If anyone else bought this figure, did you find a suitable way to stand and/or pose this figure? I ended up attaching her helicopter blades to her arm, and have her leaning on them. it just looks a little of like that.

I haven't watched much TF Prime, other than one or two episodes.

Airachnid is a cool character, but her toy is terrible. Easily one of the worst figures Hasbro's made in recent years.

you could possibly melt the feet on a hotplate, so that she stands like one of those green plastic army men, but with less accuracy or articulation?

I guess Airachnid looks better in Alt mode, I'll probably put her on the shelf transformed into the helicopter. I have a small assortment of robots which I almost always keep in vehicle form, so I guess this one will add to that list.

I got the AM verion. Which means the same amount of SUCK and the joy of peeling stickers for the double pricetag. Oh, glorious purchase!

Prime Airachnid is very, very bad. However, if you like copter bots that are at a good price, here<s a few that you MUST have in your collection:

DOTM Voyager Skyhammer

Generations Springer

Generations Sandstorm

HFTD Tomahawk

Cybertron Evac

Movie 2007 Blackout

Happy shopping spree!

About the only good thing about Airachnid's robot mode is her head.

Try using a tiny bit of Blutack under her feet. Given how small and light the figure is, it should keep her stable enough. No harm in trying, at least.

I got both versions, and thanks to the fact that I now had two of them, one being the Arms Micron version which has the additional Arms Micron ports on her, I was able to decently re-create her "spider" bot mode using the 2 sets of copter blades plugged into them and transforming her upper body into bot mode while leaving the lower half (he legs) in copter mode and she looks pretty damn cool in my shelf now :).

ARRRGH! WHY I DIDNT THINK OF THAT?! Image
Now there's no more Airachnids in store... :-(

Like we have a spider infestation in our yard (we don't mind that actually), my local toy store has 3 Airachnids left over. The exchange rates will work against you tho.

I thought of doing that but the thought of spending mondey on a second Airachnid toy as opposed to a fresh figure ultimately put me off.

A shame because that does give a lot more play value to the figure.

No camera at the moment unfortunately, but Sabrblade posted some pics of someone else doing something similar to it here.

I'll second the recommendation of Gen Springer and Sandstorm. Got the orange one today and they're both fantastic.

Human Alliance Whirl is also very good. Very glad I picked up that figure.

That actually almost redeems the toy.

I refuse to buy a second Airachnid, though. That would give even the most slight, remote sign that this toy is worth a cr*p. I want to make sure that a toy like Airachnid never sees any form of recognition. Hasbro should know that and it is my civil duty to contribute to let them know by not giving them a single cent for that toy.

Sadly, there is no good one.

It's a piece of crap, pure and simple.

Maybe in the 50th Anniversary line?

Its even more disheartening when you realise the Cyberverse version is better than the deluxe.

I got a second airachnid for free alongside my purchase of BH Optimus. After following a guid to mod her, and adding the second pair of legs, she isn't bad.

I got her to complete my Prime cast. It's times like these that I hate being a screen-completest.

I'd like for Airachnid to get a new figure in the Generations line at some point. Seems like a good place to put her if they ever do something like that.

Anyways, no. She has a problem standing up and I haven't found a fix for it. I just hunch her over a bit. Not like she's going to look any better anyway. >:oP

If anyone is looking for an arachind check your local Big Lots as they have stocked her a few times. That is where I bought mine from for $8.00.

I took a nod from other customizers and just did this today... wanted to share, yeah toy isn't good, but she was my favorite character from Prime:
