So I dropped by the local Toys R Us the other day and they had about 5 Transformers Prime First Edition Bumblebees. These were not there the week before. Dropped by again today and they had first edition Starscream and Cliffhanger as well. Does anyone know if they are planning to re-release all of these guys? I wonder if there's voyager class re-releases in the makings?

They re-released all of the First Edition figures in 2012. Especially the voyagers. I got Bulkhead a year and a half ago. Though, paint changes have been made to Optimus:

Collectors have reported QC issues with Bulkhead, but I haven't encountered any.

Bumblebee has most recently been added to U.S store shelves, since he originally wasn't on the reissue list.

Nuts!!I just started buying up some of the prime toys because I liked them and thought I wouldn't have a chance to get first edition at decent prices. At least I got Bumblebee Cliffhanger and Starscream!

Just a quick question. As FE Optimus Prime is in bot mode in the box, is there a way to tell if it's the original release or changed re-release?

If it costs a lot less than others, it's probably a release, I'd say.

That part of the figure is hidden by the shoulder and arm panels, so you can't really tell in robot mode. Hmm.

EDIT: Looking at it again, you might be able to get a look at the hinge on either side of the waist, which is where those brown panels are.

Yeah, four of the First Edition Deluxes got rereleased to TRU in late 2013.

2011 - All FE toys released outside of the U.S., U.S. only gets Arcee/Bumblebee/Starscream at TRU

2012 - All FE toys minus Bumblebee and regular Cliffjumper rereleased in the U.S. at TRU, the two Voyagers has minor differences from the 2011 versions

2013 - All FE Deluxes minus Terrorcon Cliffjumper and Vehicon rereleased in the U.S at TRU.
