The galleries of Seibertron.com kick off 2014 with a little flash. Up for your consideration, we present to you Generation 1 Reflector which is composed of the three individual cons Viewfinder, Spectro and Spyglass. In the Generation 1 cartoon however, they were not individually named. Reflector which got a wide release in Japan, was offered by Hasbro as a mail away exclusive in 1986 and was originally available for $10.00 and 2 robot points. We also have galleries of the KO Reflector which shows comparison shots with the official release. Click on the images to check out the galleries.

This is an amazing gallery and an amazing figure. I want to add to add this to my collection. This was one of the most poseable and well designed G1 figures. I love it.

Very cool photos! Just wondering, why did you do a whole gallery of each KO figure? I thought you only did official releases in galleries (save for the KO Dinocassettes, which are prohibitively expensive).

I really like the G1 style box. That's a lot of trouble to go to for a knockoff, but pretty cool. Almost makes me wish Reflector had been a regular retail release in the US.

Seeing masterpiece Thundercracker holding G1 Reflector reminded me of how amazing Reflector would be if he got the masterpiece treatment. I hope it happens one day.

When Takara's MP Thundercracker gets a redo using the MP-11 mold, they should totally include a scaled "Reflector" camera that fits in his hand.

When Takara eventually get round to doing an MP Reflector, I wonder if it will be based on the G1 toy or the cartoon version? There's a significant difference between the two, although not quite as big a difference as say Ratchet and Ironhide.

I would grab a Generations Legends class version of these guys in a heartbeat. Updating these guys is way overdue.

Well, there is the Reflector figure/partner that is going to be included with Legends Shrapnel. Though he's more of an accessory there.

Reflector always had a weird underdog status for me. He was kinda there in G1 but not a big player. I did have the original toy back when it was a mail away and he was awesome.

I would love to see an updated version, even it was just a deluxe Generations but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I did grab the Perfect Effect Reflector and he's a nice enough substitute until an official one pops up.

Perfect Effect included just such an accessory in one of the re-releases of their PE-11 Scout Force X set. But I wasn't about to drop $85 again just for that, no matter how cool it looked on display.

Let's *URK* see what *OOF* you can *KREHK* see...!

Wow! How did you get so many in such good shape, dude? Those look fantastic, especially since they were pretty exclusive when they were out and children back then didn't really care for their toys.

It's odd how the toy trio were all unique from each other, yet the cartoon homogenized them into basically clones (just with one having the lens).

I though that a really cool idea for Hasbro to do, would be to have a G1 reissue line that gave cartoon accurate colors for the G1 toys. For some reason every reissue line has been toy colored. For example you could have anime Reflector where they're all green and purple, and you could have anime Shockwave where his purple is the cartoon shade rather than the toy's darker one, and you could have anime Astrotrain where he's in his proper purple and grey. Maybe I'm crazy, but that would really spice up the G1 toys and make them pop.

Great gallery, Reflector would look really sharp in his cartoon colors

New Galleries: Takara Tomy Transformers Encore Hoist and Trailbreaker

With the great Age of Extinction still upon us, let's take a few steps in time and revisit some Generation One Encore reissues! Today's subjects are Autobots Trailbreaker and Hoist! Notable differences between the original pair and the Encore pair include cartoon-accurate visors on the Encore pair, as opposed to the red visor seen on the original Trailbreaker and yellow on the original Hoist. As usual, view the preliminary images below, and if your interest has been piqued, view the full gallery of each figure by clicking on any of their images or links!

Great pictures. Hoist and Trailbreaker are some of my favorite G1. I love how each Encore has small changes compared to the original like eye color. Was the future of Encores mentioned at Botcon?

Encore is Takara's thing. BotCon only announces Hasbro's stuff.

Bit of trivia with the Encore Trailbreaker and Hoist galleries ... no box pics because they were ruined in the flood 3 years ago. :(

I'd love if they gave it an anime face like they did with encore bumblebee.

I'd love to see this mold repainted as Backstreet, Freeway and the Battlechargers.

I was able to snag the Invasion bagged set during the Club's recent sale, and was going to sell the couple I don't need. I have one more reason to keep SG Tracks now...

Looking at these, I'm wondering- Is there ever going to be a Skids and Screech gallery?
