Takara Tomy is showing off the first two figures in their e-Hobby and Takara Tomy Mall exclusive Transformers Cloud line at Tokyo's Super Festival. TFC-A01 Optimus Prime is a repaint of Voyager Classics Optimus Prime available via the Takara Tomy Mall. TFC-D01 Megatron is a reuse of the GDO Voyager Megatron mold, which itself is a redeco/remold of the ROTF Bludgeon mold, is available via e-Hobby. Recent information suggests the Transformers Cloud line with consists of eight figures total, four through each of the aforementioned retailers. Speculation based on the line's accompanying story is we will see a repaint/remold of the Generations Voyager Springer mold into Rodimus.

Also on display are a trio of officially licensed Transformers figures. The Ultimetal Optimus Prime form Action Toys is a highly detailed non-transforming boast a laundry list of awesome features:

  • Diecast Construction
  • Lights and Sound
  • Removable Body Panels
  • Moving Faceplate
  • Matrix of Leadership and Ion Rifle
  • Stands Approximately 17 inches Tall

On the downside this piece will cost you nearly $1000.00.

Art Storm has both their upcoming Roadbusters on hand. EM Gokin is a highly detailed and articulated version, however he's non-transformable. ES Gokin on the other hand is transformable, but super deformed.

G1 Predaking Add-On Kit by Collection Kingdom.
Nice makeover for a classic figure!

One this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand, and secondly that "upgrade" does nothing but make Predaking look even doofier.

Unimetal Prime doesn't look as appealing in these pics as he did in previous ones, I say bad posing. But, these pics do make him look even more like a Pat Lee drawing. I don't seem to be fancying him anymore.

ugh. i am so sick of them using the bludgeon mold for non- bludgeon character. would it really be so dang hard for them to get a tank that doesnt look like a zombie samurai?

Haha! 'FEWture'. Is this Engrish or a pun?

G1 OP can almost do the pose Ultimetal OP is doing. They really aren't selling this figure to us. They haven't shown him do anything with bent legs.

I'm encouraged by these new "production" pics of TF: Cloud Optimus Prime. Where the initial solicitations showed completely unpainted legs, it now looks like lighter blue paint applications have been added to his shin vents. That gives me hope that paint has been added to his main headlights as well, instead of leaving them as bare red plastic like on the initial solicitations.
