Cartamundi has entered into an agreement with Hasbro under which Cartamundi will manufacture a range of games based on Hasbro’s core franchises, including Transformers. Cartamundi has manufactured a wide array of card games, and looks to expand their lines greatly with the introduction of Hasbro-based card games. This new line of games aims to offer not only the playing card experience, but also an interactive link to smartphones and tablets to allow a whole new playing experience. James Welker, VP of brand licensing and publishing EMEAP at Hasbro says,
We’re entering into an incredibly strong partnership with Cartamundi, bringing together our brands with their great innovation and strength in the industry; we’re really going to create something very new and exciting together

Chris Van Doorslaer, Cartamundi Group CEO, expressed his excitement about the upcoming partnership.
We are very excited to be partnering with Hasbro and combining both our key strengths to bring a new way of playing cards for individuals and families alike. We share a common focus with Hasbro on creating fast, fun, family entertainment.

Something to keep an eye on the coming months, as we may see something from Cartamundi as soon as the UK Toy Fair at the end of this month.

I was hoping that this would be a physical version of the Legends card game, using the art used in that. Looks like that is a foolish dream I should discontinue.
