Will they be bad or good.
Looking at the series... I have bad feelings.

Until I see pictures, I can only assume that they will exist. Speculation beyond that seems rather pointless.

I don't really know since we haven't seen any pictures. However, if they look deformed like in the cartoon, then they are going to suck, no matter how Botcon claims they're going to be cool. Hasbro wants to sell toys, they're not going to say their new line is going to suck. I'll have to see for myself before I can make any final judgements, but we are not off to a good start given the no-talent style of the animated cartoon.

Agreed. I have a feeling they will have awesome alt modes, dumb ass bot modes like the new toon and will be highly poseable.

I think that it would be something like the Teen Titan toys, somekind of the same style.

It is usually a decent judgement to go not by what Hasbro says but by the fan reaction of the attendees. And since the general consensus was that the Animated toys looked good then I will accept that. Of course thatmight changewhen i actually get to see them myself but they sound promising at least.
Heck my initial reaction to Energon was that the toys were ugly. And yet some of those very toys that I thought ugly at first became some of my favorites.

The whole thing about there being a core cast of 5 autobots present in every episode has me worried it will turn into a batman-esqe line with endless rehashes of the same characters with differnt decos and accessories. With the (as the information would suggest) seldom seen decepticons having probably one figure each, most likely small or out of scale due to not being as popular.

Same here. Withthe autobots even looking like superheroes, I fully expect this.

Having not been one for the movie asthetic I'm looking forward to the animated toys and hoping that they'll be a breath of fresh air. In the meanwhile avoiding the movie line unless I see anything dirt cheap lets me concentrate on prciier items such as exclusives and some of the awesome garage kit figures that are doing the tounds at the moment.

I think the best thing these toys could be would be figures with character and personality that transform... Hmm how do I say what I mean?
Okay, basically - Robot Heroes that transform.

So everyone has a negative answer... just like I thought. I don't feel like getting one looking at the pictures. Animated makes their body bigger than their legs

Weird

yeah but look at your sig,the Robot Heroes have the same effect. Big bodies, small legs big feet, I think that is how the "Animated toys" will look like.

Excellent post.
As someone who was there, let me tell you that these toys look great.

His bot mode rocks, hard.
His jet mode is somewhat similar to Broadsides, but less retarded. The wings are low on the body of the plane.
The tank is very compact. It is similar to Armada cyclonus's minicon, but with tri-angular treads instead of flat.

I think the toys are going to be awesome. I loved the pics that they showed. The said that they are going for 90% accuracy to the show. They also said that they are going to be bringing other characters into the show as it progresses. As far as if that means one-shot episodes or not, I'm not sure.
But I'm definitely psyched for these.

Thanks sounds good! Looking forward to it.
I heard Grimlock looked cool and is a TREX, so that's a nother thing to look forward to!
