Beast Wars Tigerhawk/Razorclaw

They're back with a vengeance. This was the one figure I was never able to have as a kid, and I just spotted a couple online. And some Razorclaws, too.

My question is: has the mold aged well? Any advice? Which one would you go for between the two?

In the meantime, I'll drool over these pictures.

Unicron looks like he may have had one too many.

Awesome mold. Very sturdy and hefty. If you like Beast Wars and the Expanded Universe stories, I recommend both figures. My personal favorite is Razorclaw.

:MAXIMAL:

I'll agree that either Tigerhawk or Razorclaw will make great shelf figures. And to be frank, nothing much else. Articulation is a bit limited in the arms, especially the left which has the tiger head. And posing him is a bit problematic with his heavy backpack.
Know that Razorclaw features a minor retool that eliminates autofiring missiles when you deploy the wings.

The transformation seems pretty cool, though. :-?

Good mold, held up well for me. I've had both of these. Which one to get depends on your intentions for the character. I used Razorclaw as Galvatron...until RID Megatron came out.

I've got Tigerhawk and JelZe described him perfectly. The beast mode is also kinda awkward with a slightly annoying transformation. That said he is one of my favourite Beast Wars figures.

Recommended here too, especially as a display piece. Interesting transformation and gimmicks, but the posability as described before is a bit hampered by the arm design and backpack. Razorclaw is arguably the stronger iteration with the colors and no fear of flaking chrome, plus he retained the molded Maximal symbol on his chest despite being a Decepticon, adding a bit of mystery behind him.

Yeah, that mold is a tank. No degradation for its age. Only thing that has declined is Tigerhawk's blue chrome which can chip here or there.

I hope Razorclaw is enjoying his new home! It took me a couple of collections to complete him. It's a really nice Razorclaw. Here are some more pics of your Razorclaw, Va'al!
