New Transformers: Rescue Bots Hoist and Wedge Playsets Found Online in the U.K.

And now, something intended for the younger Transformers fans. Via online listings from Smyth's Toys, in the U.K., we have two new playsets of Rescue Bots Wedge, and Hoist. While the two individual toys look to be different molds, the "Command Center" parts of these playsets seem to be simple remolds of each other. They also share a light up feature in the crane arm of each Command Center.

There's no word on when these sets will be available in the U.S. (a quick search of Amazon didn't show any listings for these), but keep your eyes peeled if you're a fan of this line. And as always stay tuned to Seibertron for the latest in Transformers news!

Images for Mega Mighties Optimus and Heatwave + Sightings Online and at Retail

While this is for an audience younger than most fans coming ot this site, Hasbro was rather excited about these new Mega Mighties toys. This was a line where all the big names from their various toy lines would be reinterpreted as cute super deformed action figures for kids. These were a more stylistic take than their Titan heroes which were rather static looking and expressionless. While Hot Shot and Bumblebee were part of the first batch, we are getting new Transformers themed toys with Optimus prime and Rescue Bots heatwave. Not all retailers have these yet as they are rather new. Optimus and heatwave were found at Walmarts in Canada, as part of a new Rescue Bots display for the holiday season. Optimus is also available on Amazon.com for $11.99..

You can see stock images and a image of the Walmart display below.

Is it me or has Rescue Bots gotten all the cool alt modes Generations is afraid of? I mean, a friggin' Funny Car? I want a dragster Funny Car. Give me Blurr as that. The Quinjet. Uou know who would work as a Quinjet. a Tomahawk Motorcycle? Meanwhile all we get is G1 with knees.

Edit: no. I'm not done. Seriously, ater Siege3, I want this creative team. They arent afraid to take risks, or pull a slip out of a hat and say "Okay, now who could we turn into THIS vehicle? To hell with what they were, let' s go with what they WILL BE. It doesnt have to be bonkers, but I want Classics back, whem it was all NEO G1. /soapbox

Sightings and Pictorial Review for Rescue Bots Academy Rescan Chase (Drag Racer)

PostPosted: Sun Jun 14, 2020 2:07 pm
by william-james88
The new mold of Rescue Bots Chase, released now under Rescue Bots Academy, has been found in both the US and Canada. In Canada, he was found at a Toysrus in Montreal for $15 while in the US he was found at a Walgreens in North Carolina for $14. This is a new mold for Chase the Police Bot as he is now a drag racer. I actually purchased this for my two year old and thus I have some more pictures for you.

The size is similar to a deluxe, the same size of other Rescue Bots its size in the previous line before the rebranding. While he turns into a Drag Racer rather than a police car, and thus less show accurate, I can attest that my kid did not care. This new mold actually fixes a lot of design aspects from the original. The robot mode looks better as it is more proportionate and defined rather than just look like the alt mode parts slightly more apart from each other. Also, the original's transformation mechanism broke up the blue of the alt mode but here it's all concealed within the toy. So both modes look great. I really like the headsculpt where he has a nice police cap. The transformation is as simple as ever, very quick and effective, recreating the rapidity seen onscreen. All you have to do is flip down the spoiler and it's done. Here are images below compared to previous Rescut Bot toys and other one steps.

This turbo-cop look pretty cool!

Also, 15$CAN? Based on the US price, is that on sale or is this a new low price for this line?

It's the price it's been for this class for the past 4 years or so. It just didnt go up when other toys did. I guess because its part of a different section.

Maybe it's price-increase PTSD.
Because those really sky-rocketed since a few years. Especially at Walmart, where some toys are 3 to 5$ more than other places for random reasons.

Sweet. My five year old son has kind of aged out of Rescue Bots - he's moved on to some Cyberverse and WFC Trilogy. I hate seeing the larger Rescue Bots - they should all be Rescan sized!
