It's a rumor, to you. To the rest of us, it's fully debunked and we will slowly wait for the legitimate release months from now, most likely after the movie has come and gone from theaters. Possibly even SDCC.

I was told by a Manager to expect it soon and that it was actively shipping. I had a friend of mine not someone who needs to lie about it say there was one at his Toys R Us. When he sends me a picture then I will know for sure. Stuff just pops up sometimes. That is how sightings occur.

Managers make mistakes, it happens.
Just because your friend didn't lie to you, doesn't mean he's right. He could be mistaken.
If a picture pops up, great!
I know how sightings occur, that snippiness isn't necessary.

I am not being snappy or arguing. I was only stating my sources. I seem to have reliable ones. I figured I would share the info as I receive it as I always do. You cannot determine one's tone over the internet. So you must be assuming or something. Ok.

Do we have any idea when these are hitting stores? My local TRU says the item is marked as discontinued, yet there are about 1000 open orders against the warehouse for them.

The original "source" was inncorrect.

Masterpieces tend to release around the late summer/early fall period of time. Usually after SDCC, where they often times go up as early bird exclusives for attendees.

Will this be a straight re-release of MP-08, or will it be different, considering the new scale being applied to the MP line?

There's no new mold that I'm aware of, so I'm sure it's the same, though the deco may be slightly different.

I never did get this mold and I'm still not convinced I want it. I'm waiting on Has/Tak to do a new set of MP Dinobots based on the MP-10 scale/size and with (at least a bit) better/more accurate details and such.
