Online Toy Stores - Australia

Hi peeps!

As a TF fan who happens to live in Australia I'm pretty disappointed in Hasbro's decisions to limit wave releases to either "not at all" or "just a handful" - particularly of the Generations and Masterpiece lines (which, as an old-school fan, are the only lines I'm currently interested in collecting).

I'm keen to get my hands on the new Metroplex or Hasbro's version of Masterpiece Soundwave, but can't really justify paying BBTS's $90-$100 postage on top of a figure that's already costing $150+. As BBTS is an American online store I was wondering if there are any recommended Australian-based online stores that might have more reasonable shipping prices that you guys know of?

Cheers!

The only one I knew of is no longer trading due to Hasbro Australia's decision to stop supporting them.

As for Metroplex, why didn't you grab him when Target had him on sale? He was dirt cheap, by Oz standards, at the time.

It's not Australia-based, but I've always found Robotkingdom to be the cheapest for combined item cost + shipping. Since a lot of things come from Chinese factories anyway, the Hong Kong based sellers always seem to have cheaper initial prices, then shipping is cheaper for being closer to Australia. Chimungmung's the other one I use, mostly for 3rd Party Products.

hlj.com is Japan based but an English website, their TF stock is starting to get slack though.

robotkingdom.com has plenty of stock ... provided they send you the right stuff.

www.1999.co.jp/eng/ - Recommended to me a while back, haven't used them though.

tfsource.com - Site sponsor and probably your best bet.

Thanks all. I'll check out your suggestions.

If I could have found a Target that actually had him in stock I probably would have, but all (and I mean ALL) the Targets I've been in to only seem to stock the same TF Prime figures with a few FoC figures smattered about. Same issue with the Toys R Us near me. I saw Metroplex once at $199 (when I couldn't afford it), but have yet to see him again. :-(
