Not sure if this is the right forum, but a guy in my Facebook Transformers group came across this posting on eBay. We all concluded it was a scam. I wanted to share it with everyone else here just in case they also come across it.

Well, that's nothing more than A Cybertron Supreme Class Starscream in the YotH Box.

The figure is the same, The colors are the Cybertron colors.

The real scam is the price. you can get Cybertron Starscream for under 100 bucks anywhere. Under 50 if you don't need it to be boxed.

In the description he claims he bought it at the store like that. That's the real scam here.

Contacted the seller just in case he legitimately didn't realize that figure is repackaged.

From the description, it kinda sounds like he's an idiot scalper who thought he found something rare and tried to make money off of it, considering he tried to sell both of them for $400. If that's the case, and he paid $100 for a regular Cybertron Starscream, I hope he gets stuck with it or has to sell it at a great loss. Maybe he will learn a lesson.

I would have reported it to eBay as a fraudulent listing.

Sounds like someone brought YOTH Starscream and returned it with the Cybertron Starscream to TRU. and the seller had no clue what it was and thought it was rare and try to make a quick buck....

This is probably what happened though right? Unless the eBay Seller did that himself and just made up the story. but that just seems weird.

Not sure whether to laugh at him for getting scammed and trying to scalp them or feel bad that he got ripped off...but I'm leaning toward the lolz.

Hmm, I've heard of worse. Maybe he was hoping to fool some idiot into paying for it who was also greedy for something rare to resell right away. Nonetheless, I'm with Kibble.

Either way its good that the ebay listing is down now.

I would feel sorry for him if he payed 100 for it and then tried to sell it for 150 or so.

But at 400 bucks, yeah no way he was doing this unknowingly.
