We are proud to present the newest Seibertron.com galleries: The Loyal Subjects Transformers! These charming little vinyl figures are fully licensed products, produced by The Loyal Subjects. These chibified figures sport very accurate G1 heads and designs, some even featuring electronics and voice clips! They're poseable, too! (Electronics and sound clips will be featured in wave 2, which we reported on here.)

A small showcase of this figure line was shown at Toy Fair and they've been stirring up conversation ever since. Affordable, accessorized and G1 centric, these little guys are great for fans of all ages.

Without further ado, on to the main event. Click on any of the pictures below to be taken to the galleries where you can fully enjoy them. When you're done, come on back to the forums and share your thoughts with us!

Is it wrong these things make me think "dull surprise?" Their faces are just so... blank. Vacant. Lifeless.

Though Soundwave's got a nice glare going.

Seibertron.com user and Twincast Podcaster ScottyP has sent us proof that the first wave of the Loyal Subjects licensed vinyl figurines are actually hitting physical stores, too! If the galleries tempted you enough to try looking for these, you may want to try a Barnes & Nobles near you, for the price of $12.95 per figure - this sighting is from Raleigh, NC.

No one had reported it so far, so it's still news to us. :D

Additionally, I think these were only available online until very recently. I was surprised to see them at a big box retailer, especially considering that they've indeed been out since last summer.

Mildly intriguing and they certainly have more character and posability then their egg-like "Mighty Muggs" counterparts that I've seen at shelf-warming at retail for some time now. Definitely a "niche" item for collectors. Not everyone is going to go for them by any stretch. I could see them going on the office desk of a Transformer fan that wants to display their love of the franchise without actually bringing one of their more valuable pieces from home to display in their work space. Not something I would devote shelf space to myself since only a very few out of this line appeal to me unless of course I were to pick up the Kids Nation series as well. All of those, my SD Gundams and a few of these figures would be worth making some shelf space for.
