Hello everyone I am new here so I thought I should say "Hi!"
well i do got a question.. My friend (who I havent talked to in a while) said that he bought a hot rod figure that was re-done. he said that hasbro are making the original transformers from the 80s but with better parts and everything. is this true? what series is it? I looked and the closest series I found was Transformers Classics.

It is most likely the Classics series. Hotrod was renamed Rodimus there so if you're looking for him, go by that name.

They already did... well, the best they could. Modern Toy Safety Laws prohibit such a figure to released in the US though, so tough luck.

You can view the galleriesof the Classic figures here. Mind you, some are repaints of figures from earlier lines.

Welcome to Seibertron!

Maybe he was referring to the Transformers Rodimus Major TRU Reissue ?

They Did make a Megatron in the Classics Line, and he looks like this:

And he does transform into a Gun:

Although there have also been Japanese Re-issues, of the Original 80's Megatron:

However due to Gun and Toy laws in the US. Its very unlikely a re-issue like that one would ever be done here.

Ohh and uhm Welcome to Seibertron.

He said better parts, so unless he meant better as in newer, it's classics Rodimus. Either that or Titanium Rodimus Prime, but that's pushing it.

Here's the deal. The Classics Line has been going on since Last Year. It went on Hiatus for the Movie, and will be coming back renamed as Universe. With some new things.

The only confirmed moulds so far have been Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker. But we have no pics of them yet.

However, you should still be able to pick up some Classics in stores, although most of them should be on clearance by now.

anyway, we wont see any classics until Christmas if then.

right now and for the foreseeable near future, Only Movie based, and Movie Inspired figures will be coming out.
