Courtesy of the Transformers Dioramas Facebook page we have new images of the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Titan Guardians. These continue the recent trend of producing larger simplified action figures with minimal articulation. Pictured are Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Shockwave, and Sharkticon Megatron.

I'd be a bit more accepting of these if Hasbro stipulated to retailers that they be placed on shelves with the recue bots figures so they stop clogging up shelf space in the action figures aisles.

That's a good point. These really belong in the toddler aisle with the Fisher Price and Playskool stuff, not the action figure aisle.

I have no problem with Hasbro making these if kids like them and people are buying them, but they shouldn't be taking shelf space from "real" Transformers. If my local TRU didn't have so many of these, maybe they could dedicate more than 2 pegs to Generations Deluxe figures. At some of my local stores, these things outnumber the "real" Transformers.

I wouldn't have given these...things...a second thought, but come ON, Hasbro! Green windows on Prime AGAIN!? What is the obsession? It's like they had a focus group last year of two kids whose favorite color is both green.

The least they could do with these things is give them some more paint. Not only are they nearly as stiff as a log, but they're not even visually attractive. If they were stiff but accurately sculpted and painted, people would be more likely to buy them on clearance.

These will fit perfectly with my old squat, baboo, and putty figures.

when i first saw the pictures i thought these were going to be for those capsule machines in japan or fast food toys not a full hasbro release. Do we need anymore proof that hasbro is just trying to be really really cheap and take advantage of their costumers? These look horrible, no paint and no articulation at all and i bet the plastic quality is really low. At least if they were like action masters then you could actually play with them or pose them on a shelf but these are the definition of shelf warmers & brickformers. Now if hasbro made less crap like this and focused more on the main lines then the prices wouldnt be so high & quality wouldnt be so low. No wait it still would be cause of hasbros greed & laziness.

The kids probably just misquoted Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared.

"Green is not a creative color!"

I thought the Ops and Bees already had clogging TRUs were bad, but these four somehow go a step further and just look like giant erasers no matter how many times I try to see them as anything else. The Optimus especially could benefit from a few paint apps, but the time and effort it would take to trace a Sharpie through his sculpted lines wouldn't even be worth it.

Even if they were in the Rescue Bots aisle, the RB Epic Class pilotable figures we saw at Toy Fair would put these to shame. These things really belong in stores like Dollar General, where they actually would impress.

Once released, I wonder how long these will shelfwarm before my local Wal-Marts and TRUs pull their heads out of their ###es and put them on clearance. Probably a while. It seems like TFs never get good sales, whereas more expensive things like LEGO often do. I suppose LEGO sells consistently enough that clearance on them doesn't lose the stores quite as much money.

Even on clearance, the only people who will buy these will be confused grandparents, dangerously obsessed completists, and children under 10 whose parents are willing to buy them this trash.

That's really weird how they went with Sharkticon Megs rather than the regular or even Unicron version.

I kinda like the Shockwave one. Mainly because it's ridiculously bad. It looks more like Breast Cancer Awareness day at the Appleseed HQ than Shockwave though.

These look like those kids shampoo bottle toys. Y'know the ones - you pull the head off as the bottle cap and the body is filled with the shampoo\bubblebath.

I am now reminded of the time I missed out on an MISB G1 "Battle in the Bathtub" Rodimus Prime giftset. That thing looked awesome.

I hate to be a Negatron, but these are just garbage. They belong in the dollar store for $2, not at Target for 12.99. I would never buy one of these for my kid. Hasbro, please stop it. It's the 30th Ann and the stores are bare, where's the sleep pants, t-shirts, socks for the kids, step it up and get rid of these, please.
And lets get this celebration started! :KREMZEEK:

I bet a customizer could make these really pop with the right paint apps...except maybe BB. His proportions are really weird.
It's a shame because I rather liked the SDCC Titans that I picked up on ebay for dirt cheap. I thought this line had potential.
