The excuse I'll be using to get the Age of Extinction Dinobots

Feel free to scroll to the bottom if you don't want to get into my thought process

Anyone who has stalked me or my posts, a dwindling number of people to be sure, have noticed that I typically collect within one universe, hereby dubbed the Generations Universe.

There's Autobots, Decepticons, Predacons, Minicons and Pirates.

I also have a Shattered Glass collection and a Beast Wars collection, but that's beside the point.

This means that I have one Megatron, one Optimus Prime, one Starscream, one Springer... you get the point.

I also have one group of Dinobots, and with the recent announcement of a proper Sludge to accompany Hasbro's Grimlock and Planet X's Swoop it seems pretty clear that I'll have the Dinobots I've always wanted.

But here's the conundrum I have: I actually like the toys for the Age of Extinction Dinobots. Yeah, I know; Mkall has been so anti-Movie toyline that he can count the number of direct movie release figures on one hand. I even dislike most of the upcoming Movie figures, but that doesn't mean I don't like these figures.

But I can't put them with my Dinobots as their asthetics are completely different.

If only there was another group of G1-canon Dinosaur robots that I could homage...

...oh wait... there is another group...

The Dinoforce.

Sure they're not prefect homages, but there's a couple similarities. Grimlock's Mace weapon is similar to Goryu's weapon in the cartoon and Strafe's colours are similar to Yokuryu's so they'll do all right by me.

First, stop smoking crack.

Second, you don't need an excuse to get Transformers toys. Even if they're substandard design inspired by a substandard continuity. Which I'm not saying the Bayverse dinos are.

And who knows what kind of fumes he's exposed to down the mines.

I'm just going to make up new characters for them I think. Might steal some names though. Thinking Jawbreaker for the t-rex, and maybe Tripedacus for the triceratops.

Why do you need an excuse? Buy them because they're cool.

Simply because I do not like side collections. They don't fit in my fictional Universe, indeed I'm more likely to get miscellaneous figures to act as Autobot Soldier #231 that I am to have gotten these because I already have Dinobots.

Yes I know how silly that sounds, but it's my collection my rules.

I get tested every 6 months for various toxic substances. I'm not sure it's helping any :P

I was trying to think of what else these guys could be repainted into besides G1 colors, and you've nailed it with the Dinoforce.

Glad these will fit into your rules, they look like fun toys and I hope they do well.
