pardon me, cuz all i'm interested is the higly detail transformer figures in the masterpiece line. now i'm some what interested in buying mp megatron, cuz i don't have any deceptions in my fewer transformers collection. so far i only have 3!!! one binatech, one movie leader prime, and one dvd prime. the reason which kept me from buying it was the price and i heard numerous stories saying how delicate and pieces that can be easily come off megatron such as shoulder pads and leg pads. but is this figure really worth 200 bucks canadian? the concept of thransforming it into a actual size walter p.38 handgun is exharating. anyway i'm planning to either buy mp-04 or mp-05 this october. if i buy both at the same time, i might consider spoil. do you think it be still available in stores after 6 months apart?

If you can find one, buy it. Don't worry about the pannels. Those are on ball joints and are easily put back into place. I would, however, highly caution you as far as transforming it. There are a few steps that require a great deal of force, which is how I suspect most of the breaks that I've heard about have occured. Aside from that, it's an amazing toy and it gets my highest reccomendation.

so you guys definitely recommend megatron over prime that comes with a trailer? but is it worth 200 bucks, do you think the price is a little steep or reasonable?

If you do decide to get him, be prepared to spend over 30 minutes transforming him during your first time. If you get better at it, you might be able to shave it down to 7 minutes or so.

can he stands properly with his cannon attached on one of his arms, again is 200 bucks expensive or faire?
it's kinda funny watching people getting pissed off while transformering megatron from robot to gun mode on youtube. those pissed off faces were priceless.
one more thing, is the orange tip glued or plugged onto gun's barrel, and is it removable if i get one that is motified?

$200 is a bit high. BBTS has it for $109 on preorder. I'm sure you could find comparable prices on other sites. Of course if you go that route you are going to have to wait a while.
Mine stand fine with the cannon mounted. But I personally just hate how it looks. The damn thing is 2/3s his height. I wish someone would make one to scale with the robot mode.

mine tilts a little on his right when he holds his cannon. i wouldn't say you would want to transform him more than once or twice though. but he sure looks goddang good. next to prime.. wow.
even throw in a couple alternators or soemthing make it a nice little family picture..

I have it. I don't like it. Doesn't want to stand, doesn't have great pose ability. A bitch to transform. Falls over all the time. Ugh.

but still would you recommend me to get prime over megatron or vice versa?

If you already have MP Prime I'd leave getting MP-04 as it's basically the same bar for colour changes and the obvious trailer.
I really like MP Megatron. His legs look thin in photos but aren't so in real life. As someone has said earlier, this figure is not necessarily fragile, but the joints are pretty stiff on first transformation - just take your time if you pick up this figure.
Articulation is slightly hampered thanks to the transformation, but all in all I'd never thought that we would see such a figure.
Personally I'd say yes, just see if you can get a cheaper deal.

I'll add my two cents on MP Megatron.
The positive:
+ He looks impressive on display
+ He's an engineering marvel
+ He's Megatron
+ He comes with some great accessories
The negative
- His Fusion cannon is WAY over sized
- The weight of the cannon on his arm will wear out the shoulder ratchets if you have his cannon raised and pointing(mine can't hold his arm up with the cannon attached any more)
- The fact he's tall and heavy means he can be very hard to pose(weak ball joint ankles)
- He's expensive
It's a hard one, I think as a display toy he's in the "if you can get one cheap" catagory but he's a limited edition so it may note pay to wait for a good sale price.
Oh, and when in gun mode he's quite abit bigger than an actual P-38(the original toy was abit smaller than the real gun).

Thats what the top part of the front of the foot raises up, you goes up to the uderside of the leg, basically locking the foot in what ever pose you want it.
my Biffest problem when posing him is that the clip that connects his crotch to his body in robot mode keeps disconnecing, shending the entire top of him flying foward. The clip on mine seems to be squeesed in too much, I've tried to strech it out a bit, but I dont wanna pull it too much for fear of breaking it.
Still, GET HIM!
As JFUK say, a lot of us (me included) honestly never expected there to ever be an MP Megatron, or at least never expected it to be a gun.

You will not regret adding MP Megatron to your collection.
I was looking at him again last night while I dusted. He is a bit front heavy and his ankles arnt always able to support him but with some clever weight distribution you can get round that.

I have, yes. An awesome little figure with a tiny Ravage ready to transform in him tape deck.
I also slapped the Reprolabels sticker set on him.

I've got WS Prime, Megs & SS but Soundwave seems imposible to find.
Might I be so bold as to ask for a pic of Ravage?

I recently bought MP Megs for $119.99 unmodified. I don't know how much that is Canadien, but I would have a problem going much over that price. I'm so glad I picked him up, because quite frankly he is awesome!
I've transformed hi in to gun mode twice now. The first time is very difficult, the second time is difficult, but managable. I imagine that it will get easier the more comfortable you get with it. Just take your time, we might learn at slighly different rates here.
Posing him can be a little difficult at first, but you do find that he is quite posable, even with the arm cannon. With his arm cannon raised he does tilt a little on is right, but it really adds to the drama; he looks like he's in motion it's totally cool. I hate to say this, but he out shines OP. The metal paint is so realistic it makes OP look a little dull. OP is awesome and I guess it's a good thing that Megs outdoes him since a product line should improve over time.
So should you get him? I would say yes if you can afford him and he is reasonably priced. I rate it a solid 10, despite the difficulties people run into you get around them really quick.

Its not actual size, its an oversized P-38. Just thought I'd let you know so you have all the facts before you make your decision.
I bought My megs the second day it was out and payed £50 so that comes to about USD100. $200 canadian seems quite steep especially since it is liable to break if you're not carefull.
Definately a good display piece and works well next to a prime, which you already have.
My opinion on getting the mp04 is that it is a lot more detailed than the dvd prime like the front bumper and light details (and its not orange

). but seeing as you have a good 'substitute' for prime i think that Megatron would flesh out your collection a bit.
Just some thoughts
