Unicron Stand

I just bought the Armada Unicron online and I'm wondering about a stand for him.

What's my best option? Can you still buy any stands for this mold online?

The best is the Throne of Chaos by brownnoize productions, you may be able to still get it from BBTS or their website.
The Unicron.com one may look nicer, but it's terrrible.

The Throne of Chaos is sweet, and probably the best stand for any of the Unicron toys. It's pretty much sold out everywhere, though.

I hang mine from a hook on the ceiling in planet mode. It looks alright suspended in mid air.
I Didn't feel the need to splurge on a fancy stand. Plus i was hearing nothing but negative press on the ones available at the time.

The Throne of Chaos stand is awesome. Sturdy, and holds the figure quite well. If you can find it, get it!

(Why is it just so damn irresistible to pose a figure with individual fingers in such a way?)

Indeed, if you are lucky enough to find one get it on full impulse! I had been searching for the Throne for a long time and my search paid off. I actually bought another Unicron from a seller 8-} just to get it. So I gotta say Unicron isn't just awesome in bot mode alone, he is stellar in planet mode too as he hovers like on his Throne of Chaos! Lots of luck to you dude.:VEHI:

Seems a bit pricy at $50.00, but I just noticed that the Throne of Chaos stands seem to be available again here: Unicron Stand . - Monster Kokor Store

Be better if it was still the $35.00 it used to be... but if you plan on ever displaying Unicon in planet mode, I'd still say that one of these is almost a necessity! (At least it seems like shipping is included for U.S. addresses, so that takes a tiny bit of the sting of the cost off...)

And of course, I'm broke for another week! :BANG_HEAD: Hopefully it'll still be around...

If you gotta have one especially at this price I advise anyone to man-up (or woman-up :P ) and break bread. I doubt you will get a better deal on e-bay and seeing this makes me wish I had waited longer before getting mine. :VEHI:

I went ahead and bought it. A $50 piece of plastic. But I was lucky enough to get a 2010 Unicron for $120 shipped, so I guess that kinda makes up for it. I am just worried now, because after I got my confirmation e-mail, I got a notice saying the store failed the automatic fraud check. I did use Paypal, so hopefully they'll cover me if anything goes wrong. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the awesomeness that is a floating planet Unicron.

Oh my... Hopefully it amounts to nothing, but good luck! Do post in this thread on the (hopefully) off chance anything does happen, so that others can be forewarned.

No matter what, your ass is bulletproof thanks to Paypal. No matter what, you will NEVER lose that stand money. The only thing that is worrying is if you never receive the Throne. WHO then would have one for sale?
One thing is for sure, you will never, ever regret that purchase. **** is GLORIOUS!

Well, then. Acquiring this sturdy, solid piece of very useful plastic was quite an adventure.

May 23rd: I placed the order.
May 30th: Order marked as shipped.
June 7th: Order has not arrived.
June 9th: I contact Monster Kolor and receive almost immediate response. (It seems the original order was never actually shipped out. Replacement is shipped out the same day.)
June 13th: Replacement item arrives at my house, requires my signature. Lazy idiotic mailman doesn't come to the door, instead leaves slip in the box, with the wrong date on it. I go to the post office, thinking it's waiting for me there. Turns out it's still on the truck.
June 14th: I go to post office 1st thing in the morning to pick up the package, but forget my wallet. When the clerk brings it out, she says it has $3.30 due postage on it. I'm like "How the hell does it get shipped with postage still due? I never heard that." She explains, I have to go back home for my wallet (20 minute round trip) and pay for the shipping.

Finally, after $53.30, 3 weeks of waiting and kinda crappy customer service, I have my glorious Throne of Chaos.

Wow, that does sound rather complicated. But, judging by your usage of the word "glorious," which I am trusting to not be sarcasm, it sounds like you are at least happy with the final product. Owning one myself, I can't see how one could feel otherwise towards it.

That is a shame about the hoops you had to run through to get it, however. In particular, I'm curious in this day and age, where "postage due" is supposed to be an expression from times gone by, heard these days only if watching or listening to a dramatized entertainment from the appropriate era, how exactly that came to pass. What was the explanation that the postal worker gave you? (Hopefully not that they were hungry and needed money to buy a snack! )

And did you then send an upset message to the retailer saying, "The post office hit me up for $3.30, after I'd allegedly already paid you to cover the shipping. I would appreciate some recompense." Or at that point, were you tired of the whole thing and willing to write the $3.30 off as, "Well, at least I finally have my Throne and I don't have to deal with Monster Kolor anymore?"

Oh yes, I love it. I have it up on top of my desk, with Unicron resting on it somewhat tilted down. Then I have Primus in planet mode in front of him, effectively blocking the actual stand and Unicron's folded up feet. The only thing you see is Unicron "hovering" over Cybertron, about to chow down.

The seller printed the postage from eBay, or Paypal, and just estimated the amount. It came up $3.30 short, but it was already dropped into the mailbox at the post office. So they delivered it and I had to cover the difference to be able to pick it up. Oh well.

Yeah, I sent a message regarding the entire experience, I have yet to get an answer. I didn't outright ask for compensation for $3.30, but I heavily stressed my post office adventure thanks to it. Hopefully the guy will just pick up on it and refund it to me. I was more irked by having to wait 3 weeks for the item to get here.

Glad you finally was able to get the Throne. Told'ja it was a must buy! Still, too bad you had to deal with a crappy seller. Be glad the seller was not foreign with just basic English skills because you may never ever had gotten the Throne.

Now, there's just one thing missing. A picture of your Unicron sitting on his Throne. ;)

Somebody with a 3d printer needs to start making stands!

I'm not an expert on the technology, but I didn't think 3d printers could do really nice, smooth, clear acrylic. (And if they can, I suspect it would be even more expensive then that the Throne of Chaos is currently going for.)

That being said, I suppose (depending on who has this hypothetical super awesome 3d printer) it could save you the shipping issues Rodimus had to suffer through. But would it be enough of a thing to make justifiable the likely difference in cost and quality?

You had to ruin it!

OK then, somebody with Acrylic bending and cutting machines.
