Exclusive Special Edition Takara Tomy G1 Color AOE Deluxe Class Slug

An upcoming Transformers Expo will be releasing a special G1 redeco of Age Of Extinction Deluxe Class Slug. This is as close as we're going to get for a G1 Slag, and it looks quite nice.

Exhibition of Transformers largest ever
17 (Sun) held determined from (Saturday) "Transformers Expo" 8/9!
Over on Sunday the 17th from Saturday, August 9, at the Pacifico Yokohama (Exhibition Hall B · C)
It is an event of Transformers largest ever in Japan
that the "Transformers TRANSFORMERS EXPO Expo" will be held is decided!
And a huge image of the Transformers world's largest class of grade 7 ~ 9m height, exhibition of the actual vehicle in the movie,
Huge diorama that can experience yourself as if entering into the world of movies as Transformers,
And and 3D projection mapping of topic now,
It's Transformers space experience events of unprecedented scale.
And, April 25 to Friday, "slug G1 color (some plated)" is attached at Lawson Ticket
Will be released in limited quantities a special ticket.

Slug has an awesome head in robot mode, and this deco looks so cool. Hope it's metalic and not to expensive on the bay :s

Now this is what the AOE Dinobots in the Evolution two-packs should look like to get them off the shelves. I still like the look of the purple version but the more the merrier.
I also really want a purple Scorn.

Its like putting lipstick on a pig. Its not classics slag. I actually like the purple version better as a generic predacon for my classics shelf.

I was hoping they would do some G1 Colors. Hasbro did a few for some of the movie figures in the past 3, but they were nothing to write home about. My only hope with these is that they are not going to cost to much more than the regular price...
But thats a bit to hopeful as Hasbro would up the price anyways...

Looks like any other Bayformer we have got before at regular retail painted up in G1 colors. The only difference is that this one is at "exclusive" pricing. You know what that means.

I heard it was going to be 6000 yen and immediately said "no". Perhaps Hasbro will do a redeco but I'm not even going to try to get this one.

Because a lot of folks really love G1 homages.
No one batted an eye at the Energon or Animated Dinobots having G1-based decos.
