I've begun collecting Movie Verse figures. What I want to ask is which Optimus from the
entire Trilogy is worth the money.I've seen some of the movie figures and I find alot of the ROTF figure line was the best. Is that true for the Optimus as well? Any help would be grand!!

I have the leader class version from the ROTF line. I was lucky enough to find him at a discount. Hopefully, you can get a movie Optimus at a decent price.

Your best bet is the Amazon/TRU release of Jetwing Optimus Prime. Check ebay for it for the best pricing. You get the RotF mold, plus the "Buster" gun plus a really badass backpack with really big guns.

Leader class RotF Optimus is by far the best one. The voyager Battle Blade Optimus is pretty good too. The DotM voyager Optimus is a pretty good figure overall, but it's not very screen accurate. I like to think of it as like a battle mode, or an upgrade.

...and I happen to be selling mine. :D PM me if you're interested.

For me, the RoTF Leader Class Optimus Prime is the best Transformer figure that's ever been made, not counting the MP line. Very screen-accurate, top-notch engineering.

ROTF leader Optimus is a fantastic figure with fantastic engineering and he looks magnificent in both modes.

If there were such a thing as a 'perfect' transformer then ROTF leader class Optimus would come pretty close.

It's universally accepted that the RotF Leader Prime and its retools are the best versions of Movie Prime around. The only thing that could be nagging for some is that the transformation is finnicky in places and some parts take force to snap into place. The chest windows are especially hard to get in and out. But the overall result is well worth it.

If money is no object, go with the Buster Optimus Prime. It's like 99% screen accurate in both mode and is s sweet looking.

Try to get the Buster Optimus and Jetfire 2-pack. That version of OP have the chrome and faceplate.
If you are on a budjet, the standard Hasbro ROTF leader or HFTD one is also perfectly fine.

As for the voyager, HFTD Battle Blade Optimus is like a mini Leader and is an engeneering marvel.

As for the deluxe, get the Movie Trilogy Optimus with trailer. The deluxe is still nice looking and is a fun little guy. Sure, there's nothing going on with that trailer, but it make for a great display in vehicle mode.

My advice would be to get a ROTF leader mold for the robot mode, and the deluxe with trailer for the vehicle mode.

Finally, get the (upcoming) AoE voyager Evasion Mode Optimus Prime. You get the Movie OP transforming into his classic cab!

Depending of the price and it it have better paint aps, this may be worth it to look into it. That is, if you don't have the original.

Looks nice enough...

Price might be an issue, however the original is getting pretty expensive now anyway.

Wait... That's wasn't the leader?! Sweeeeeeeeet.
Seeing the absurd Ebay prices the original Battle Blades Optimus is going for, it would be pretty stupid to get the overpriced original instead of the shiny Takara one for way less.

Has Buster Prime actually gone done in price? I see 2 on eBay for about $90 including shipping. I like Buster Prime because you can attach the Jetwing to him if you have another Prime with a Jetwing. I have the Dark Nightwatch Jetwing Prime so I can use his Jetwing with my Buster Prime. Alternatively, if you don't have a Jetwing, I also like Striker Prime. I like Striker Prime for the chrome and Dark of the Moon abs. It looks like Robot Kingdom still has him for $160.

For $90? more than likely it's a KO! An authentic Buster is probably closer to $300.

I have both Buster and APS-01 Striker Prime, and while Buster is beautifully painted and chromed, APS-01 to me is the definitive version. The bright silver paint is still there, but he also has a MOUTHPLATE, a screen acurate combining DOTM rifle, hand-held battle blades, and a bad-ass battle shield. He also says "We must stop the Decepticons" (still in PC's voice), rather than the common "I am Optimus Prime" phrase. Just lovely to look at, and no cumbersome built-in blades restricting the poseability of the arms. Expensive, but lovely.

I agree 100%. I've owned several iterations of the ROTF Leader Prime mold, and the Asia Premium Series Striker version is the only one I've kept. He cherry picks the best features of all previous versions, comes in an amazing deco, and has that superb and sleek packaging.

If cost is no object, APS-01 is where you want to throw your money.

Of course Leader Optimus Prime from ROTF or any of his redecos (if you are on a budget) is the way to go as anyone will say. But it all depends on what you want to do with it. He is a very complex figure and many do have a tough time with him. I love that he is made complex but it's not everyone's cup of tea.

My favourite Optimus from the films is actually Voyager Class Dark of the Moon. I love the weapon he comes with as well as how sleek and stylish he is. It is a whole new mold and a different transformation. His legs are formed by peices folding into one another leaving them kibble free to the point where he looks like one of those movies figures that do not transform. And he costs much less.

So, if you are into complex figures and you want the biggest one: ROTF Leader or any redeco.

If you are not into complex figures: DOTM Voyager

By the way, there are also reprolabels you can apply to a ROTF Optimus that make him look even better than the Takara version http://reprolabels.com/Movie/upgradem33.php
