Guys,

I need your help. I just bought MP-15 and 16 and supposedly they are the real deal.

However, I don't have any other figures (I mean, MP-15 and 16) to compare them to and the videos I saw on YouTube don't help because the toys are so perfectly made.

I don't want to open them (in case I want to return) and I was wondering if anything on the boxes would give them away.

Please, help me out here. This KO issue is getting ridiculous!!! :BANG_HEAD:

Thanks a ton!

Well I know that int he case of the KO MP-10 the art and design of the box is very similar to the box of the Takara version however there's no actual mention of 'Takara' on the box. I'm not sure if that's the same with the MP-15/16 KO boxes but I guess you could start there...

Where'd you buy them, off eBay?

Unfortunately that's not gonna help.

Like I said, it's a KO, not a 3rd party, meaning it's an exact copy of the original to the last detail.

You can see what I mean on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8hGZvetf14

I think you mean "Tomy". Trouble is, with regards to Lambor, the KO makers even fake the holograms that's supposed to be a seal of authenticity.

If you buy from ebay, make sure you get it from a reputable source or get it from a reputable Japanese online store.

Well, there you go. The only think that, according to the video I posted above, can set apart my two MPs from the KO is the rubbing going on the front of the box.

Mine has it exactly like the one showed on the video. It's not a flat clean surface.

With that in mind, I'm considerably more calm now and I can enjoy my toys. It seems kinda simple to base the origin of a product on the box physical appearance, but the fact is it is the ONLY difference I can gather.

Anyway, hope this helps fellow transfans on this forum. The boxes DO feel very cheap and that was a red flag for me since I have the whole original Masterpiece line and I want to keep it that way.

Thanks a lot.

How much you paid for them and where they deliver from is usually a dead give away.
