Too many Transformers, too much choice, too little money and definitely not enough space. Then we add the 3rd Party toys coming at us from all angles, and try to balance that against older toys we may be trying to buy (or not buy), and we all develop strategies for staying away from what may bankrupt us. For some the decision to pass on a particular type of product can be arbitrary, for others it’s because it won’t fit with their collection direction. Some may want it all, but can’t afford to give in. From behind a computer screen where gorgeous promotional images and enabling collector photography can only do so much damage, we are safe. However, seeing certain things in the flesh…

I'll agree on MP 10B, it must be seen to be appreciated fully. For the rest, especially Warden, I can't. Warden looks great in pictures, then you get it in hand and transform it and it's a fiddly, over engineered mess.

Agreed on MP-10B as well. I brought Warden cause of all the great reviews, It's pretty awesome in the flesh, but Maz speaks the truth as I've not transformed it and have no desire to. Stacks looks horrible to me and scaled to nothing. Leo Dux is in my POL, and I am now interested interested in rotostorm. hahah

:) Hmm, well that certainly wasn't intentional. I have, love, and continue to buy a lot of third party stuff. My Maketoys Omega upgrade kit, Swerve/Gears and MFB are all on the way to my door right now.

I guess the better way to think about it is that I don't agree with the choices of the particular article. I don't think you need to see the MMC Predacons in person to know that they're great and worth having. Warden, again just my opinion of him, is one where seeing it in person before buying would have made me not purchase it, rather than do so. I also think the KFC Magnus is kind of neat, but pointless, so no amount of coolness in person would make me want it.

Compare that to MP 10B which I had absolutely no desire for, but an in hand experience made me jump right on the preorders for the second production run.
