Terrorcon

But why? Why "Terrorcon" and and not "Predacon" ? :???:

Because predcons are known as evil beasts and they arent the villains in this film. Instead, the villains are a group of 3 bots that used to be from different factions and came together to make their own called the Terrorcons. Their leader is Scourge.

Do I sense fanfic head cannon guessing here? Well, mine was that the terrorcon's relation to beasts is their robot mode, their designs will be animalistic, the original scourge had dragon wings and claws.

There's no fanfiction there, it was what was said a while ago. Don't forget there's a more well known Scourge from the Robots in Disguise 2001 cartoon ;) oh and the G1 con I guess

ok then, I guess I missed that news post.

Meanwhile the kids they're marketing to are saying, "MORE BUMBLEBEE, I LOVE HIM!!!!" and we get an entire line of exclusives featuring the guy at Target. You may not like him, and that's your right, but he's wildly more popular and lucrative than G1 Bee will ever be.

There's a reason why Hasbro tried to upgrade/update G1 Bee into this:

And why most modern versions of Bee for the various TV series look more like Camaros than Beetles since 2007.

Children eat whatever garbage we feed them. What is actually that cool about dinosaurs? Why can't little girls think about anything that's not pink magic and unicorns? I don't know who comes up with the marketing schemes, but kids unconsciously like what they like because they are told to. If g1 Bee keeps popping up in new series, kids will get used to it and love it.

YES YES! Everyone tell :HASBRO: 2007 was a bad idea!

RE: Bumblebee

Since G1, I've always been a fan of the Decepticons. So aside from one-offs such as Springer, I never payed attention to the Autobots.
I just assumed Optimus and BB were so popular because all the Autobot fans loved them? Growing up, I seem to find no one who even remotely likes the latter and a few diehards who really like the former.

When I was growing up, it was the Dinobots and Superion that held my attention (which incidentally, was also the hook that power rangers snagged me on)

Also:

RodimusPrimeUkraine1: market research is based off what kids tell adults they like, not the other way round. It's because kids gravitated towards Bee that made him popular.

My childhood was Trains (Thomas specifically for shows), Dinosaurs (still love the 2000 film and Land Before Time), and Titanic. Everything is cool about all 3 of those.

And for me, 2007 Bumblebee is and forever will be my first Bee and my favorite Bee. He's one of my favorite characters across all transformers period. He was only beat by 1 day by voyager 2007 Megatron as my first toy too, so both of those designs/toys/characters hold very special places in my heart.

Hence, 2007 was not a mistake. Without it, I'd be on a marvel fan site and would not be here.

Agreed, in fact 2007 was an achievement in what it did for the brand and Hasbro's finances

Though, I can't help but wonder what the 2007 movie might have been like if Spielberg had directed the movie himself.

Many Bay-haters just can't understand that.

This old 1980's kid have been thrown back HARD into the TF fandom just because of the first Bay movie.

Maybe something like Bumblebee but then again, Spielberg had just directed the dud that was the 05 War of the Worlds film...

I don't know what would have been, but I'm glad things went the way it did.

The movies themselves may have been so-so, but the designs and characters were memorable enough to launch a whole new generation of Transformers that lasted for LONGER than G1!

Thats actually true. Never thought about it. G1 provided a few characters, but the movies made the molds and figures last WAY longer and reduced what Hasbro had to invest in engineering.

Do you guys have any preferences for the origins for the Beast era characters?
We have a few to choose from, like the time travellers or creations of the AllSpark creation like Cyberverse.

I feel like it was said somewhere that they might be ancient warriors from prehistoric times who awaken in the present day, and may or may not have been ancient guardians of the AllSpark or something.

It's hard to keep track of all these rumors.

Transformers 7 ROTB On Set Footage Shows Optimus Prime Ramming into Scourge

While we wait for a trailer or teaser (or anything) for the upcoming Transformers Rise of the Beasts film, we have a really cool video taken of the set while filming was underway. In the video below we see Optimus Prime ramming into Scourge. And it makes Scourge go through a brick wall with typical live action Baysplosions going off (Michael bay was on set, but as a producer and not director this time around). We also see a lot of Mirage, some Wheeljack and Battletrap, and a lot more of Optimus and Scourge. This was all in Lima Peru and it comes to us from fellow Seibertronian "Transformers Matrix"

Transformers Matrix wrote:I am from Lima -Peru, but when I heard. It was going to be recorded in my country, I took the first flight and went there. There I was able to record a part of a scene, and the other parts of the recording I got from other fans. I hope you like it. Here I leave the link.

Sorry to admit I am NOT impressed. Especially the part with Optimus shoving Scourge through a wall is very cringe. Am I boring, or do editing and angle really make the shots better?

To be fair, we're not watching the actual footage that's going to be used in the movie; this is someone recording it all from far away. So, yes, the real film shot from the intended angle will probably look better.

It's like watching some sort of never-ending TF parade! No matter how RotBs turns out, this was surely more fun for the onlookers than when they filmed Scream 4 in my hometown.

Don't think I can get over how ugly the added push bumper & visor looks. These accessories don't make the cab look more aggressive or imposing like the long nose trucks in Bayverse to me. It looks like a hog face to me...

this has to be a leak, one person on there mobile would not have all these angles. And why the fiteworks it looks so fake, and the thing is it’s actualy real. when cgi is better than real life then thats wrong. I love seeing what I thought would never happen. I thought if we ever got g1 the alt modes would not be faithfull, and then the chrome outer visor etc was pointed out.
Still since we are getting and dare I say it an overdose if g1, its actualy getting diluted, but I have faith now that we will get the movie we want, I’m happy if it’s animated if they do it hyper stylised, kinda like the comics of today.
it may end up that it will burn out and people get sick of transformers. I still want cross overs and Unicron and all the weird variants like pretenders and Giant cities and other worldy forms, btw bayverse does not couny

Guess what? BOTH the CGI and the "real" fireworks are FAKE. That's the goal of movie magic. Combine the real life fire and the CGI, and you have a spectacle.

But ultimately, NONE of it is real. Because explosions in real life are basically invisible and quite deadly.

Same thing with guns and their magic bullets that ignore basic physics. We grew up on Hollywood imagery. We are used to the spectacular. So reality can be quite disappointing.

I hope that in the movie scourge transforms after Optimus rams into him. That would be an awesome beginning to a fight between the two of them.

This is bystander footage and not the angle that will be used in the film. Editing, cinematography, and CGI also do indeed make things look better. Plus I’ll wager money that in the final film both of them transform after they smash through the wall.
