well i read the comic leading into the movie and bumble-bee lost his voice by megatron like this. bumble-bee and a few other autobots were deffending the destroyed capitol of cybertron from some decepticons. while optimus lead a diversion some were els on cyber-tron to keep megs away from the cube so they could shoot it into space and get megs away from it and find it later. but in the comic book megs was drawn to the cube like "its calling me the cube i can feel it!" so for somereason he could feal the pressence of the cube. so he left the diversion and went to were bumble-bee was killed one of his comrads and grabbed bumble-bee by the neck and crunched. he lost the way of talking but he managed to eject the cube into space b4 megs could get to it. megs turns into fighter jet and blasts off after it. bumble-bee had to find a way to comunicate with his buddy and let them know what happend to the cube and what not so he did that. then bumble-bee signed up for the mission of retrieving the cube. so he flys to earth. the impact did not mess his voice up but it seemed that way in the movie for people who wouldnt read the comic book leading into the movie.
