At this point, it's impossible to confirm anything 100%, BUT the sequel has been greenlighted(and several actors, including Cullen, have already signed on for it), and given the financial success of the film so far, it's seems inevitable.

In a nutshell, the answer is "most likely".

Yes, It is definit, Because they have already started writing the script for it. Bay let it slip that after his next movie he is going right into TF2.

Do you have a link to this...last I heard they are still looking for writers.

If Fantastic Four got a sequel, then Transformers, with it's 150 million in one week at the box office, WILL get a sequel.

Its funny how sometimes the script for a movie takes too long but damn, just to hurry up and get the ball rolling just to see another TF movie soon, I'd write them 5 different scripts in less than 2 weeks..... Too bad they'd probably not even give one a read if I was to do that.

But damnit, I want 2 TF movies out a year LOL

I hope so, mainly to see more Transformers, maybe this time I can get by with no spoilers... who am I kidding...?

I want to see Metroplex in a Third film as that big ass digger with all them wires and that big saw looking thing.
And Shockwave as a Satelite and Omega Supreme as a Space Station.

lol so true, most tf fans would cringe at that post, i think i did, but hey you gotta start somewhere, my gf once said "what is a transformer, i swear i nearly dumped her right then and there, but instaed i thought education would be much easier

They announced the sequel plans the Friday or Saturday before it opened on Mon. 7/2. The executives "greenlit" Transformers 2. (Namely the greedy Hasbro execs-lol)

Seeing as it's made over $250 million worldwide (not counting the $ from toys, the video game, etc) I'm sure there will be a sequel, but I guess you never know.

I do not have a link because i read it in a magazine. All the main characters are returning and i also read that the 2 guys who wrote the script for the first one have allready started a 2nd script. Now this could change but as far as i read, Its already began.

It was also on Entertainment Tonight the tv show and they said that a second film is already in development! I cant wait.
