TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT: LIMITED EDITION (2-CD SET) — LLLCD 1432

STARTS SHIPPING JULY 25
LIMITED EDITION OF 3000 UNITS

La-La Land Records and Paramount Pictures present the limited edition 2-CD SET of acclaimed composer Steve Jablonsky’s (TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, ENDER’S GAME) original motion picture score to the big-screen blockbuster TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT, starring Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel and Anthony Hopkins, and directed by Michael Bay.

Jablonsky and TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT director Michael Bay continue an exciting, longstanding collaboration that has forged numerous cinematic blockbusters, including the previous four TRANSFORMERS films.

“I met with Michael before he started shooting Transformers: The Last Knight,” recalled Jablonsky. “He showed me some amazing concept art and explained how the story connects the history of Transformers all the way back to the times of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. I loved the idea because it gave me the opportunity to explore new musical ideas… The storyline allowed me to write melodies that are a bit more “classical” than I’ve written for the other Transformers films, which was a lot of fun for me.”

Produced by the composer and mastered by Patricia Sullivan at Bernie Grundman Mastering, this special limited edition CD release of 3000 units will thrill film music fans with an exhilarating musical experience!

I'm liking that steelbook (accidentally typed steelbane first) one if only cos it's got other characters who aren't Optimus Prime on it along with him too. :P

Via the official Industrial Light & Magic site (ILM), we have a new reel of concept art for characters and key frames from Transformers: The Last Knight (but also some concepts from Dark of the Moon, and the first live action movie) as visualised by artists Brett Northcutt, Ryan Church, Luis Guggenberger, Thang Le, Bianca Draghici, Tyler Scarlet. The shots feature the presence on Earth of Cybertron - no spoilers, just as seen in the trailers - Quintessa's character, Drift, and WWI vehicle Bulldog. Check them out mirrored below!

This one really amuses me for some reason. I like the idea that some Transformers try to emulate human features so much they go as far as chunky eyebrows. Like the Autobot insignia on the cap too.

That settles it. Quintessa's design is an obvious visual nod to that of Quintus Prime:

Not directly related to the film itself, but definitely happening while Brazil was waiting for Transformers: The Last Knight (where it premiered on 11 July), fellow Seibertronian TulioDude sent along some footage and images of the Transformers Animatronics exhibition featuring characters from the live-action movie series, taking place in Ribeirao Preto until the end of July!

Featuring the likes of Drift, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jetfire, Grimlock, Scorn, Ironhide, Hound, and more, such as weapons, props and accessories, you can check out several images below, and videos of the animated statues at the event - if you're in the Sao Paulo state area, make sure to drop by this final week!

The Dinobots look cool. The others take a few liberties with the general aesthetic and design though. Like strange knock offs. :P

Though not 100% accurate, those robots just felt good to be around with. You feel the dedication they have put into building them. Some even have bliking lights.
Here's a trailer for the same exposition but from another mall in the country.

Nice. Mudflap looks a lot less silly than he did in the movie.

While Transformers: The Last Knight is winding down in theaters, we still have plenty of TLK content to cover! Coming from Industrial Light and Magic artist Thang Le and concept designer Furio Tedeschi, we have several amazing pieces of conceptual designs from the fifth Transformers movie. Some of the designs below made it in to the film, like Quintessa and Infernocus, and some were cut, such as the Optimus Primal design! It's always interesting to see the development stages of large movies such as TLK, and comparing to the final product. Check all the designs out below!

Damn that's some nice stuff.

And I like the Primal even though not much of a Beast Wars fan... what the heck was this for? I like how it has Prime's helmet integrated in the gorilla head .

Do we know if this Primal is supposed to be a totally new character, or somehow Optimus Prime? The helmet and face design is there, makes me wonder if Quintessa was going to turn Optimus into this rather than calling him Nemesis Prime.
