Cybertron is destroyed correct? So...where have the Autobots (except for Bumblebee) been before they came down? Moon Base One? =P

They left it open. I would write it as the TF eventually wiped themselves out fighting. Now only scattered groups of units.

Considering how fast the Autobots arrived after Bumblebee signaled them, I suspect they were on the moon. They would have to be close by, to see Bumblebee's Autobot "Bat Signal".

Don't think Cybertron is destroyed but a few million years of warfare kinda dinged up the place.
Maybe the Autobots could go back but there ain't really much to go back to. While on Earth they have seen a new world that has, fortunately, not seen the ravages of war as Cybertron has. A fresh start with maybe helping prevent Earth from going down that same road they did.
In other words...Hope.

Me, I'd like to see more than two factions... screw it, the next movie should be a Michael Bay TF free-for-all where every mechanical being is trying to off every other mechanical being and the winner gets killed by whatever humans survive the bad dialogue.

Simple. They destroyed Cybertron and went out across the universe searching for the Nintendo GameCube.

i think its just an abandoned warzone, not destroyed, probably mangled and dinged up pretty bad though

in the prequel book, it says they are flying around in the ark looking for the cube (seeing as how its easier to ride a ship than fly countless light years under your own power)

they might have dropped it off behind the moon, or maybe around Mars (seeing as how thats where the Decepts where chillin for a bit)

I got the impression that it wasn't actually destroyed or blown up "deathstar" style. I imagine it would be completely in ruins however, and stripped of most if not all of it's remaining power / natural resources. So there probably wouldn't be many bots hanging out there, if any...

I think by "Destroyed" they mean Cybertron as it was, was destroyed, but the physical entity is still there.

The movie render of Cybertron shows it rocky and barren - meaning most of the Mechanics are destroyed, no doubt.
