AllSpark makes no sense

A poster from another board made a good point:
"The AllSpark completely re-grew Frenzy and created transformers out of regular machines. How come it kills when violently inserted into the chest of a transformer??? In all the past incarnations, it always healed."

Well if just touching lightly touching the all spark heals or regenerates I guess it would be the equivalent of someone who's sick not taking just a tablespoon of dayquil but trying to chug down couple or oil tankers full of the stuff.

i suppose, still a bit inconsistent though...

I would think it has to do more with direct contact with the spark. Not entirely sure why, though.

Maybe e it's the INTENTION of the user?
I never thought of that before XD maybe I should think like that more often!

It's like tylenol or aspirin. Taking the prescribed amount will make you all better again. Taking a whole bottle will kill you.
With the Allspark, a little bit of radiation can repair (Like Frenzy), or even reformat. (Like the vending machine) A whole lot can kill you.

Orci's said that two factors were involved. One, since microchips were reverse engineered from Megatron, they have his "imprint" on them. Second, and I think more interestingly, he suggested that making Transformers "directly" from the Allspark resulted in "soulless" Transformers. That makes me think the Allspark had to be channeled through something else to produce the standard Autobots and Decepticons we see. Not sure if the new screenewriters would pick up on the idea, but it sounds like there's a need for a Vector Sigma-type setup.

Or something that no one is possibly considering .. Ratchet or Ironhide, cant remember, told Prime that the amount of energy in the allspark "COULD" kill him.....keywords are "could and amount of energy... So maybe it didnt kill megatron???? Ever hear of reformat or Galvatron? Lets watch the next transformers movie before we gripe about what we do not know yet.

Didnt Optimus say it MAY kill him if inserted? And it is quite belivable since its the WHOLE AllSpark going into a Transformer its the equivalent of plugging to many thinks into an outlet and the house getting struck by lighting

Trying to make sense out of Michael Bay movies is like trying to divide by zero.

Mass Allspark energy + Transformer spark = overload. End of.

This is OT but taking an entire bottle as Tylenol won't actually kill you. Girl I knew in high school did it and she puked a lot and was seeing things but didn't die.

on this issue, it's best to remeber the fact that Transformers are machines. they need energy to work, but they have a limit, if their energy goes over that limit, they overload and stop functioning.
Frenzy wasn't destroyed because only his exoskeleton came into contact with the AllSpark, absorbing only a small portion of its power.
Megatron was killed because the AllSpark came into direct contact with his spark, his power source, so he kept absorbing power until it was too much for his body to handle, so he ceased to function

Futurama Says it best...
[Abandoning the Star Trek cast to run from the energy monster...]
Fry: This is wrong. We shouldn't have abandoned them there.
Bender: I dunno, I'm feeling pretty good about it.
Leela: I didn't wanna leave them either, Fry, but what are we supposed to do?
Fry: Well, usually on the show someone would come up with a complicated plan then explain it with a simple analogy.
Leela: Hmm. If we can re-route engine power through the primary weapons and reconfigure them to Melllvar's frequency, that should overload his electro-quantum structure.
Bender: Like putting too much air in a balloon!
Fry: Of course! It's so simple!

It makes me wonder how come when Frenzy touches it, it heals or regenerates his whole body. Whereas, when Bumblebee got his leg cut off, he was touching or holding the Allspark, and yet, nothing happened.
If the logic is that the Allspark works with the intention of the recipient, then why did Bumblebee not intend to heal his own leg? By doing so, he could have better helped the autobots in the battle.

I'm with the idea that Allspark overloaded Meggy's spark, but in other way, a so important thing as is the cube for an entire race, how leave their planet, and fly throught all the space in their search, to loose it in that way...,
it don't totally satisfies me...
Another kind of end like, and outher space explosion involving Meggy..., for example...
That would allow a plot like: "Megatron died in the explosion...(apparently)" and in TF2 with Meggy back: "Haven't you been destroyed in the explosion? We saw it!..."

Its fatal 3/4 of the time. And it always causes severe liver damage that will show up years later.
Sorry for the OT post
