Lets discuss about the topic
I hate them :HEADHURTS: . They think the film is a toy selling movie and they no cules on what is going on film itself or what are Transformers. Some go too far by giving the film rating of 2/5 or 1/5  and also tell everyone else not see it.
I love this film and to me its the best movie of the year.I'll give this movie a 5/5 :BOT: :CON:
;)^ ;)^ ;)^ ;)^ ;)^
To me the negative reviwes comes from this type of people:
1- Old ladies and maybe some old gentlemen who ar too old to enjoy the fun. :-B
2- Robot haters.
3- People with no sense imagination. :BANG_HEAD: :?:
4- People with no sense fun. :!:
5- People with simple logical minded.
6- People who can't think outside the box. #-o
7- People who can't stand loud sound effect or noise. :-$
8- People who are only interested boring hollywood love stories. I-) :x

Well, everybody has different tastes. If they didn't like the movie, then that's on them. The only thing that matters is that you love it. Kudos to you , friend, because I happen to love it, too.

I was going to write a lengthy response...
But I'm thinking... this is a joke topic.

Because there are times (not many) but some in the past, where a critic's reviews helped to make or break the audience participation.

When E.T. came out originally, Siskel & Ebert hated it badly. It turned out to be a mega hit, with a lot of heart, and Ebert, many years later, had to swallow his pride, eat some crow and admit he was wrong.

The Drew Barrymore/Luke Wilson romantic dramedy "Home Fries" was shown at a film festival and Ebert didn't like it, but when sent back by his paper to actually review it, he then did like it. Gave it two thumbs up. The movie wasn't a huge success, but because of positive reviews and word of mouth, it at least made it's money back and then some. Which is considered a hit due to making a profit.

So yeah, it's a little hard to not take some reviews to heart.

However, your fellow fans can be the real gauge for a film like this, and it's definitely hard to swallow their opinions especially if it differs from your's. This is where the anger and animosity comes from in a lot of the posts lately.

Opinions do matter. I mean if the audience hadn't received TransFormers warmly, it would've died quickly and we'd be talking about all the places it went wrong, why people want Bay dead, and others would've jumped on that bandwagon.

Without opinions, we wouldn't have half the stuff we do for entertainment.

I take offense to this.

1.) I'll give you. However, this doesn't fit their type of movie, so you can't fault them for not liking it. Well, *YOU* can.

3.) Plenty of people do appear to have no imagination lately. However, that's on them. They're entitled to think how they want.

4.) One person's sense of fun, is another's sense of "BOOORING."

5.) You meant to say simple logical minds. However, a logical mind is far from simplistic. Yes, it's true that logical thinking and actions make for simplistic and quick resolutions to certain situations, but that's not always the case. A lot of thought goes through a logical mind.

6.) A lot of people are guilty for not thinking outside the box, but in this world, some people don't have that luxury.

7.) Loud effects and noise are a common part of today's films, this one I'll give you. (However, some movies don't require it and remain compelling. That's the problem though, those people are comparing this film to something it isn't.)

8.) I happen to be interested in those "boring hollywood love stories". Romantic Comedies are some of the best films out there. I'm not talking Chick Flicks (and there are differences...) but no one's wasting their time enjoying something that's uplifting, usually light, and funny. Not to mention, most of these comedies have some of the most gorgeous women acting in them. (Hitch, for example. Eva Mendes? Oh hell yes. Mmm hmm.)

The way you throw your opinion around makes you guilty of the very thing you complain about. =\

Isn't it a bit "over the top" to hate someone just because they don't like the same things as you?

I see critics and people who want to see movies like Titanic and The English Patient and stuff like that. They want indepth characters and plots and thing going along those lines. I see them as typically not into thing blowing up and lots of action.

Okay, let me get this straight: so Siskel and Ebert hated ET when it first came out. Later, when it became a blockbuster, they reviewed it the second time and then they actually liked it? Doesn't that tell us something about some critics?

Besides, I think the majority of the moviegoers listen to the word of mouth from other people that they socialize with, like friends and family. I have friends that have the same tastes as I do, so I listen to what they have to say. I couldn't care less what the critics say, because they probably don't share the same taste as I do.

On a personal note: Spielberg is one of my favorite directors, but I did not like ET at all...

Slagging critics. Eh, they're all on crack. Their opinions NEVER seem to agree with anybody else's.

meh, critics are always giving movies bad reviews unless its some art flick or something, one of the reasons i usually don't bother paying attention to them
