Here's what IMDB's page for Transformers 2 says the plot is going to be.


The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.


Kind of interesting. Obviously anyone can edit this so take it for what it is, but that or something similar definitely sounds like a possibility. Although I assume if Megatron is in the bottom of the ocean, he's sort of not in the military's hands anymore right? Oh well, never to soon to start looking ahead right?

I thought Cybertron was destroyed.

cybertron probably not completely destroyed (like an asteroid field), but probably in disrepair and devoid of resources kinda like in the new IDW continuity.

They haven't even hired people to write the movie yet.

that's stupid. even though i'm sure that this is fake, i still think that megs needs to stay dead. he had his 20 minutes of fame (c'mon, he had the most lines of any Con in this movie). they need to let him go and focus on new characters in the next flick. c'mon baby gimme a Shockwave and a Soundwave!

Of course it is fake. The US Military doesn't "have" Megatron so Scorpinok couldn't steal him from them.

If they're going to make up **** they could at least make said **** interesting.

It can't be considered stealing unless you told the writers that idea and then they decided to use it which isn't possible sense the writers for TF2 don't exist yet.

IMDB is just about as trust worthy as Wikipedia when it comes to checking their sources.

Case in point, prior to movie release the had Frank Welker voicing Megatron and for some reason I think they even had Wil Smith voicing Jazz.

There are still movies on IMDB that are marked "In Production" when it's a known fact they've been cancelled, or nobody's working on them.

Search for "Aliens 5" or "Superman VS Batman".

i hate to say it but its about imdb i go check after the movie is released or just wait for tformers fan site to get information on the product first seibertron.com, and others i cant remmeber at the time.

Thanks for the good laugh. Course Wikipedia is the same way.

Yeah... the thing to remember with IMDB is, someone could submit that Clint Eastwood is writing, directing and starring in Part Two, and it has a good chance of being shown as fact.

As for the story idea posted, it seems fairly uninteresting. The first film established the world of Transformers fairly well, but the second is going to have to expand things further if it wants to pull in good money.

Sounds slightly bad, plotholes galore... which could very well mean that it is true, and written by the same guys that wrote the first film

We wont be hearing any official info about the story for a very long time.
