Bumblebee film concept art by Matt Tkocz, video on the sound production, VW Beetle on display

We have some awesome concept art from Matt Tkocz for the Bumblebee film over at his Artstation page. We can see:
-5 different bodies for the jeep Bumblebee
-WWII Bumblebee
-3 shots of Bumblebee fighting Dropkick (or a random helicopter, for two of them)
-2 shots of an aftermath of an explosion
-Shatter tampering with technology
-Boats crashing

As expected, Shatter uses her helmet design, that isn't present for almost the whole film. Click one of the images to check out the Artstation page, and below those will be coverage of a video on how the sounds of for the Bumblebee film were done!

As we promised, he have a video from INSIDER on how the sounds from the Bumblebee film were made. See, would we lie to you?

Most people don't look at the description, so we'll put it here.
"Bumblebee," the latest movie in the "Transformers" franchise, makes great use of sound. We sat down with the sound team on the Paramount lot and learned all the sounds behind your favorite Autobots, from Optimus Prime to Bumblebee himself, as well as, of course, battles and explosions.

The "Transformers" movies are known for explosions and giant Autobots that crash into buildings. To make all that feel real, the sound has got to be just right. "Bumblebee," the latest entry in the franchise, was no exception.

To learn more about how the sounds you hear in the movie are made, we talked to the film's Foley team. Foley sounds are any sounds based on a character's interactions and movements. Usually that means human characters, but it can also apply to the sounds of animals, and, in this case, big metallic creatures. Many of Bumblebee's movements aren't different than what you'd expect from a human character, but he's made of metal, so he's going to sound different.

This is Dawn Lunsford, Alicia Stevenson, and David Jobe, the Foley team behind the movie.

"Bumblebee" is available now on digital and on Blu-ray April 2.

Hey, yo, off topic, did you want to see the VW Beetle used in the film AND happen to be going to the 2019 Vancouver International Auto Show? Well, good news for you, because it will happen! An article from Driving tells us this information!

The 2019 Vancouver International Auto Show has this vehicle display, specifically the one used in the film. So, if you were going there, maybe you can drop by, and tell us that you saw the 'Bee, in the Pub forums below.

That is awesome, question is, do you have a video player to play it on? The bee kind sticker on the tape was a nice touch.

I wonder if the VHS is actually going to be available, or if it's just an April Fool's joke. Loved the video either way.

It is only available as a promo, so probably just people that Paramount sent the copy to.

That's too bad. I think it would actually sell really well, to be honest. Last year, a favorite singer of mine released an album, and the cassette version of it sold out the fastest of all the limited edition versions.

It would have been really cool if this was legitimately included with a special edition release and it was an actual large scale Ravage, based on his design in the film.

Image of Frozen Bayverse Megatron in Bumblebee Movie Tie In Comic

Some fans were intrigued once they heard that movie Megatron appeared in the tie in comic to the Transformers: Bumblebee movie. Would it be a G1 styled design to go with the revamp designs, or would it be Bayverse Megatron tieing the Bumblebee film much closer to the Bayverse. Well, now you can be the judge (it's frozen Bayverse Megs). This at least confirms that Hasbro and Paramount do intend on keeping a link in some shape or form between the old continuity/designs and Bumblebee, along with probably what comes next. This tie in comic is called Sector 7 Adventures: The Battle at Half Dome, which is a motion comic that comes as a bonus feature with the home video release of the Bumblebee movie.

Enjoy the image!

Wish we had an artist's concept of Soundwave's cybertronian alt mode

Besides that, love the art, and am I the only one getting WFC(the game) vibes from both Bee and Prime in vehicle mode? Both have alot of cues to that look for me ;)^

I still would be interested in hearing a rationalization why Cybertronian Optimus Prime has truck windows on his chest. Did Alpha Trion have a premonition that Optimus would eventually need to travel to another planet and blend in with the fleshling's delivery vehicles? Just because we didn't question 1980's cartoon logic doesn't mean I won't question 2019 movie logic. ILM designers have gotten criminally lazy since GL sold them off.
