His inability to emphatize invalidates it as ffar as he's concerned.

And why is the Twins' behavior offensive to blacks anyway? Did the Twins claim they were black? I have known people of all races who talked and acted like the Twins in RoTF.

Let's not forget that, while not as controversial as the Twins, some individuals were up in arms over Jazz from the first movie.

There was also outrage over the Trade Federation from SW:The Phantom Menace because of their "Asian" voices.

Exactly. It's more like the people claiming they're "racist" are the ones implying that black people are the only people on the planet who could possibly be illiterate, speak using slang, and wear gold teeth.

And speaking on the illiteracy, none of the other Autbots could read it either. That's why they needed to find Jetfire. He was the only one who could read it.

If you are challenging that these are distinctly black characters, in the same vein that Jazz is written to be black, I can't help you. To be honest, I'm not sure you actually care to understand the issue, but rather be more content to play devil's advocate, and that's not a game I'm playing.

Were they written to be black? Or are you just assuming, because of the way they talk. If that's the case, aren't you the one who's perpetuating the stereotype?

So instead of answering the question, you claim ignorance and/or indifference. This is not helping the discussion.

Neither. It's actually disappointment.

Telling me that I'm the one perpetuating stereotypes is projection, baiting and an ad hominem attack.

It's clear to me now I misread the audience. I really don't mind talking about it, but again your questions don't give me the confidence it's discussion or understanding you're interested in here. I know you have the capacity for change, and I've seen that in you, but I'm not seeing it here. So I'm cutting my losses and bowing out.

I wasn't telling you anything. I was asking another question. And yet again instead of getting a straight answer, you go off on a tangent that is irrelevant to the topic. Does this mean you don't have an answer to any of the questions I have asked and thus can't defend your previous claims that the Twins in RoTF are stereotypes of black people?

How can you tell if you refuse to participate?

The first movie came out 10 years ago today. I was 12. I remember wanting to see it the day it came out, but we couldn't because my Godparents were having a cookout or something. I was pissed. I specifically remember we couldn't see it until July 7th, and those 4 days of waiting were some of the worst days of my life. I remember talking to people from my church who had seen it, and that built up my hype even mire. Day by day, I grew more and more anxious to watch it, until I finally did. To this day, I'm still disappointed I didn't get to see it opening day, and I don't think I'll ever get over it. At least I saw all the other ones opening day. I guess I'm still trying to make up for missing the first one.

Poor poor Sly.

Did I mention I got to see it two weeks before the majority of people?

Having to wait 4 days to see a movie were some of the worst days of your life? What a blessed life you have led.

Yeah, I know. My life is damn-near perfect. All I have to do now is find a way to get off this planet, move to Mars, away from humanity, and I'll have everything I've ever wanted.

I wouldn't be surprised if you found quite a few people who are willing to help you with that.

I got to see the 1st movie on July 2nd 2007. 5 days before you. 5 days.
