Ok, in light of the fact that the Dinobots won't be practical in the sequel, what about the Insecticons? I can imagine them being regular sized mechanical bugs and infesting the larger Transformers.

Come to think of it, kinda sounds like the Scraplets. Anyway, what are you thoughts?

Seriously though, I can definitely see the Insecticons in the 2nd movie as a Scorponok kind of thing. They could be the little attack "droids" for a larger bot. I wouldn't be surprised if they got paired with Soundwave. I can see it now... some weird flying bomber or helicopter named Soundwave thats full of giant robot bugs! Its just weird and unorthodox enough to work! Still a cool idea I think.

That would be funny to see them crawling around the Autobots. An infestation
