Alot of threads have been popping up since the film's release regarding the Arcee design, why it was cut from the film, and the chances of the characters returning in a sequel. Now that USA Today is running a poll for fan-favourite characters in a sequel, the bigwigs of the film probably have their collective eyes glued on the fan-banter and reaction to the film, and I've noticed how many fans have mentioned liking the Arcee deluxe figure and want to see her show up in movie #2, so now may be a good time to post a single thread, wherein all the discussion over Arcee can be posted (I may post a similar thread on other sites if this goes well, or someone else could take the initiative if they wanted). I decided to do this for four reasons:

1) alot of new Arcee threads were popping up, causing mild clutter (and causing me to post basically the same thing over and over again in like 12 different threads...).

2) Arcee is not among the options on the USA Today poll. What this means may be up for interpretation, but now Arcee fans can voice their support - since she was not among the choices on the USA Today poll, this thread will act as a substitute.

3) There is actually a very good debate to be had about the whole "fembot" in film thing and I've enjoyed having friendly debates with members of other message boards like TFW2005, the Official movie boards (I even forgot it existed!) and others.

4)I wanted a place to post all these signature pics I've made over the last few days. If, like myself, you are a fan of the Arcee design and want to see it in Transformers 2, feel free to wear a sig in solidarity or ask me for a request, I'll be glad to make you one. They all respect the board guidelines, just remember to host it yourself though, I don't want my photobucket account to crash!

So, let's have an intelligent discussion on the subject. Remember, please respect other people's opinions. Just because I myself would like to see Arcee in the sequel doesn't mean that I don't respect the opinions of those who don't. I'll be the first to admit that the no-Arcee users have many valid points, hence the need for a good debate now that the "movie people" are probably listening the "word on the street", if I can call it that.

So sit down, have a cold one, grab a free sig if you like (or make your own), show everyone how much you'd like to see the Arcee design in Transformers 2, or tell everyone how much you would hate it! Either way, just have fun with it.

I would to see her in the next movie. But not as a bike. Im not really fond of bikes, plus wouldnt it look a bit strange seeing a bike riderless? Unless she has a holographic human like the decepticons had. Otherwise a bike driving around with no rider would raise alot of suspicions and she wouldnt exactly be a robot in disguise would she.

Id also like to see Hot Rod appear, since we have lost Jazz, Hot Rod could take over as being the "trendy, hip hop" character.

I say save her for a later movie, at least the third one.

While she is a very good design, there are more important characters that I'd rather see in the second movie.

Thank you for trying to single handedly bring down the sequel. Hopefully level heads prevail and that character is forgotten.

As long as she is well done and I also want her to have some kind of dialogue with Ironhide since it says that she received training from him.

Yeah i support Arcee, but not those damn designs... Theyre horrible, plus, i dont wanna see her as a Bike, though i wouldn't mind it too much... i wanna see her as a cybertronian car, like in the original - just change the design from the 80's

I wonder if the Cybertron in the "Movie" universe even has "cars". All the autobots have those entry modes (I don't know if they would only use those for space travel, maybe the have another mode when they're just on Cybertron, since Megatron had a jet and not one of those meteorite alt modes)

I say keep her a bike, and keep that design. The toy has the same design, it's been established now as her "movie" design, and I don't think they could (or should) change it without it just seeming weird.

Well, whatever i guess, so long as they do it good.. Arcee's got my vote

Alright, I posted similar threads over at TFans.com (with poll) and at TFW2005.com.

Let's hope enough people use my signature pics (or make their own, nothing is stopping you...) so that fans can still be voicing their support for the design long after these threads are gone, dead and buried. You never know when the "upper brass" in charge of the Transformers Movie will be watching the fan sites...

I've done all I can do for now, now it's up to all myriad of fans who have already said they like the design and want Arcee to come back, to be even more vocal and continue their support of this character.

yea, id like to see arcee in tf2. i think itd be pretty sweet if she were a bike and when she would transform she wouldnt be a gigantic as the rest of the bots, but rather be like one and a half humans tall. like a really tall-human-sized-robot who could accompany sam and mikaela inside buildings for the purpose of creating an indoor action scene. just a thought though.
arcee in tf2 could be done really poorly and suck, or it could be done really well and be actually pretty cool. im hoping for the latter if she does make it in. by the way, cool sigs. peace.

well you go to your profile and click edit..scroll down and theres a place for your sig. you take the url of the image and put it in between [img]and[/img].

Do any of the Autobots use holographic drivers in the movie? Something like they do in the IDW infiltration/escalation story. I liked how they chose a black holographic driver for Jazz, as an in-joke to the talented actor who voiced Jazz in the 80's cartoon, Scatman Crothers?

I've loved Arcee's design since she appeared in the prequel comic, and I think that she could work as a bike if handled right. Though there does seem something odd about bike tfs generally, it seems to be all they can do with Arcee these days. Love the sigs and finally got one to appear
