Recently, I read a post here and it gave me an idea. It seems the majority of people absolutely, no way, no how, always will dislike both G1 Jazz and Hot Rod. Personally, I like Jazz. Both incarnations. I don't like Hot Rod.

Jazz I've just always liked. I never had a problem with his character or his style, but Hot Rod unwillingly killed Optimus in the movie, and later became Prime. To me, the whole thing was stupid. They go and introduce a character just to have him replace Optimus? I still can't bring myself to watch the third season and enjoy it.

But, I went back and thought about it and it would seem that more people should have liked both of these characters than not. Jazz, for one, relates to the younger crowd. He's the one who likes the loud music, the partying, the dancing. What kid in the 80's didn't like that? Hot Rod, however, pretty much WAS the younger crowd. He was the youngster Autobot who did what he felt was right, let his emotions get the better of him, wanted to prove himself and be cool and all that fun stuff. Or so that's what I've always thought.

So tell me. Why do you like/dislike either of these characters? What makes you smile when you see them or want to throw rocks at the tv?

I have always liked Jazz. Hot Rod had a cool toy, sucked as a character though. As a commander? Hell no!Consitering he all but asassinated the previous Prime to get there. Why is he a winabago?

oh please, Hot Rod and Rodimus were the shiznat. Season 3 is my personal favorite season of all the transformers cartoons.

As for Jazz I have always been under the impression that everyone loves him. Never really hear anyone saying anything bad about him.

I hate Rodimus. When I first saw the movie I was utterly appalled that he causes the death of prime and then becomes the new leader.

Here's the thing about G1 Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime, imo.

I like Hot Rod because he is the young rebel Autobot even in the Season 3 episodes that he appears, but Rodimus is a loser emo who is too busy whining about how much of a loser he is to take his head out of his a$$ and live up to his responsibilities. It is like "Wow, I had no idea that being the Chosen One meant to whine like a little b*tch?"

People don't like G1 Jazz? That's news to me. I love G1 Jazz, and yes, I like Hot Rod.
